It's been more than 21 years since Israel evacuated four settlements in Jenin, in the north of the occupied West Bank. Now, Israel is moving to reoccupy and reestablish them. The move is already affecting the lives of Palestinians in the area, with land seizures, home demolitions and the paving of new settlement roads restricting their movement and daily lives, while settlers are able to move freely. The reestablishment of these settlements is part of Israel’s broader plan to expand settlements in the northern part of West Bank.
