Never been to Starkvegas…. this is easily the nicest grass field I’ve ever seen.

SEC Nation at Miss State this weekend…last hour of show inside stadium pre-game. I’ve heard nothing but INSANE things about Starkville… And Keelon Russell vs. KaMario Taylor is the QB matchup of the year. Two absolute dudes who are going to be BEASTS at the next level.

They actually developed the grass used by many college and pro teams …

There’s a lot hidden in Starkville once you actually visit the place & stop assuming the national narrative. #godscountry

Our turf management course is one of the best. We're pretty good at dairy products too. Go try some of our cheese

PAT system. Perfectly flat, no crown. Underneath, the field is like a bathtub filled with sand. Pumps can be turned on to suck moisture off the field in minutes. Since its flat, it takes the crown out of play. Throws across field are more visible to the qb.

Mississippi State’s turf management program is one of the best in the nation. Many of your favorite PGA courses are maintained by State graduates

Great post. I support bringing back all fields to high quality natural grass fields! Sad to see Ole Miss baseball install turf. And I reside in Texas. I have never liked the turf at Disch-Falk field for UT baseball.

It's a performance athletic turf (PAT) field which is why it is flat with no crown. It has a piping system underneath that can both irrigate it as well as pump out stormwater when it rains.

No one does grass science (usually golf courses) like the bulldogs. Get to Mossy Oak or Old Waverly if you can.
