Amazon generated £29 billion in UK revenue in 2024. They paid £18.7 million in corporation tax. That's 0.06% of revenue. They count VAT collected from YOUR purchases as part of their own tax contribution. Meanwhile Rachel Reeves raised taxes on working people to fill a £22 billion hole. A hole Amazon could fill twice over. $AMZN

Last year, Palantir founder Alex Karp said: ā€œI love the idea of getting a drone and having light fentanyl-laced urine spraying on analysts that tried to screw us.ā€ Now, he has Labour Party peer Tom Watson trying to convince you to trust his company with your personal data.
Later today protesters will demand ā€˜No Palantir in our NHS’  Ā  While they protest, someone, somewhere will get an operation scheduled earlier, a cancer diagnosis quicker, a loved one home from hospital sooner - thanks to the software that those protesters would switch off. Ā  Here is what you won’t hear. Trusts using the software have recorded: • 117,000 additional operations • 14.3 per cent reduction in discharge delays for long stay patients • 5.6 per cent improvement in the number of people receiving a cancer diagnosis within 28 days Ā  Ā  As a more articulate person once said: ā€˜certain facts, although in a sense known to be true, are inadmissible.’

Fingers everywhere! Wonder why? Lobbyist for Palantir played a senior role in helping Andy Burnham become Pm, it has emerged. Martha Dalton, whose company Lodestone worked for Palantir in 2024 & 2025, campaigned for Burnham in the Makerfield by-election theguardian.com/technology/2…

Removing Tom Watson as peer in the House of Lords is not enough. Between April 2024 and 19 March 2026 Watson voted 240 times in the Lords. Palantir was paying him for the last sixteen months of that. Thirty of those votes were on the Crime and Policing Bill, in February and March 2026, while Palantir was pushing the Met for a Ā£50m policing contract. Five were on the Data (Use and Access) Bill, which changed the rules on how public bodies, the NHS included, share data. Eight were on the Border Security Bill. Palantir builds the deportation software for ICE. All of these bills are extremely relevant to Palantir’s attempt at monopolising their handling of the public’s data. If Palantir's role in the Gaza genocide and ICE's deportations didn't make its intentions clear, its infiltration of Britain's highest offices should. This is corruption and needs investigating beyond just removing him from the House of Lords.
Palantir just hired a Labour peer to fight the campaign against its NHS contract. You can push back against this moral bankruptcy. Three letters, one click, on our action hub. Tom Watson has been on Palantir's payroll since November 2024. He kept voting in the House of Lords for sixteen months while the company paid him, 240 votes in all. Thirty of those votes were on the Crime and Policing Bill, cast while Palantir was chasing a Ā£50 million Met Police contract. Five were on the data bill that governs how the NHS shares patient records. On 18 September Palantir made him senior vice president. His register of interests now reads one line: exempt from registration. He keeps the title, the peerage and the Labour whip, and the Lords say no rule was broken. His job is to stop you fighting back against Palantir's handling of your data. Palantir's Ā£330 million NHS contract has a break clause in February, two Commons committees say cancel it, and Watson says his role is to correct "false information". He is one of four peers who have advised Palantir. The company has hired 32 senior officials out of the MoD, the NHS and Whitehall, then won a Ā£240 million contract with no competition. His appointment is evidence that the thousands of emails sent to NHS trusts, councillors and MPs are amounting to real pressure. One click sends a letter to your MP, a request to the Lords Conduct Committee to close the loophole, and evidence to the Commons standards inquiry: newscord.org/action/palantir…

An interesting tale of how people rich enough to pay the tax due under the normal rules go to great lengths to pay less. A loophole that needs closing.
Nick Candy and Holly Valance. Britain’s most expensive house. A Ā£265m sale. Usual consequence: Ā£32m of stamp duty. But five small flats were included in the sale. By an extraordinary happy accident, that cut the tax by Ā£18.5m. The curious sale of Nick Candy’s mansion A 🧵:

What an utterly irrelevant cesspit X is. Non stop hysterical and misleading attacks on IHT, property tax, pensions, PIP. It's almost as if it's run entirely by and for millionnairres and billionnaires.

Using your position as an MP to promote Reform policies on national television. I ask again, @Ofcom ... how is this considered within broadcasting rules.
This will be totally illegal under a Reform government. Anyone caught aiding or abetting illegal migration to Britain will be jailed.

Anyone know why a newspaper owned by the Fourth Lord Rothermere, who inherited a fortune from the Third Lord Rothermere, who inherited his money from the Second Lord Rothermere, who inherited it from the First Lord Rothermere, is so strongly opposed to inheritance tax?

The world’s highest court has already told Israel to return to Palestinians the remaining 22% of historic Palestine (Gaza, West Bank, east Jerusalem) that it illegally occupies since 1967. And the political minions of the world behave as though intl law were theirs to dismiss!
