I think that trying to take down the very game that I've loved for years is dumb, counter-intuitive, and upsetting. Why try and end up hurting something that's been apart of my life? I don't get that mindset personally. Truth of the matter, is that no one REALLY cares, I mean the player counts have only went up in the past 30 days, this is just the newest thing to grab a pitchfork and be mad at. There is a invisible line with EVERYONE and it changes based on who it is. Some say "ABSOLUTELY NO AI". Some say "Well, you can use but only for REALLY small things, models, sounds, and other assets should be done by a human" Some say "I dont care what you make or how its made, so long as the world is good!" How do you manage that? Everyone is going to have a difference of opinion on it, and I GENUINLEY think the best thing to do it nothing at all. I get that no one wants their hard effort-made worlds and avatars to be drowned out by AI, but the truth is that AI is now BUILT into unity, and people have used AI to create assets for 2 years now with the assistance of it. Making textures, code, particles, etc. I feel like high effort worlds have always been easily moved up. Make good shit, and you will see your world progress thru the discoverable tags. I have played this game since 2017 and seen every "game ending" controversy, this is just the newest one. One thing always stays the same, VRCHAT player count will continue to go up, the people saying they are going to boycott wont, and they will be back on VRCHAT within a week, and most already are.

A second cyberattack has hit supermarket refrigeration systems across Europe, just weeks after a similar incident in France. Hackers remotely accessed freezers and activated their automatic defrost mode, pushing temperatures up to 50°C and destroying large amounts of frozen food. The attack has affected supermarket chains including Delhaize, Carrefour and Spar in Belgium, as well as ICA and Coop in Sweden.

This morning, I received a private message from someone in our community that genuinely meant a great deal to me. I'm not going to share their identity or their message. They deserve the freedom to create without becoming a target. But I want to share what their words represented. This person has been quietly developing something remarkable using AI. Something creative, something useful, something they genuinely believe could contribute to the VRChat community. And they were afraid to share it. Not because they lacked confidence in their work, but because they've watched how people are treated for simply choosing to use AI as part of their creative process. They were afraid of the hostility. The ridicule. The possibility of becoming the next target of an angry crowd. But something changed. They told me that my willingness to speak openly about AI, to defend creative freedom, and to encourage people to build without fear had inspired them to move forward. They're going to release their work. They're going to let people experiment with it, find its weaknesses, help improve it, and hopefully turn it into something wonderful. And that means more to me than any argument I've ever won online. Because while some people are busy trying to discourage others from creating, there are people quietly watching, listening, and finding the courage to pursue their own ideas. You may never hear from those people. You may never know their names. You may never realize how much your words have influenced their decisions. But they're there. And sometimes, all someone needs is to see another person standing confidently behind the freedom to create. This is why I speak up. Not to win arguments. Not to fight ideological battles. Not to prove myself right. But because I believe people deserve to explore their creativity without being intimidated into silence. To the person who reached out this morning: Your identity is safe with me. And to everyone else quietly building something they're afraid to share: There is a place for you here. Your creativity is welcome. Your ideas are worth exploring. And you do not need the permission of an angry crowd to create something wonderful.

My favorite performance of Patrick Stewart was in the TNG episode "Tapestry". There are some days I look back to this episode for a reminder of overcoming difficulties and harsh truths. I used to beat myself up over bad choices I had made and bad people I associated with. Led me into to conflicts, ruination, and at worst: homelessness. But those were the things that made me into who I was. A lot of people just give up. They might lose their mind or spirit along the way. But you can't ever give those up -they're all you really have. That almost sounds like it could be a cope, but in many cases, that's just how it goes. You have to live to know.

“Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived.” — Patrick Stewart as Capt. Jean-Luc Picard
Legendary actor Sir Patrick Stewart, best known for his work in the "Star Trek" and "X-Men" franchises and his prolific award-winning stage career, has died at 86 years old, his spokesperson confirmed. Stewart died at home on Wednesday, with his wife Sunny at his side, a post on his social media channels said. His death followed "a brief and poignant journey with Alzheimer's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia," the post said.

It makes me so sad that these shorts got me 100k in a Month and a Termination at the same time! I’m not trying to brag, but these videos took a massive amount of time, research, and work. I’m proud of them. One of them brought in 50 million views in a matter of weeks and 100K subscribers almost overnight. Then YouTube deleted everything over false child sexual abuse allegations. Channels are getting wiped this year for almost nothing, and it infuriates me. It also makes me genuinely sad. Years of history, research, and carefully saved footage can disappear overnight. The worst part is I can’t even re-upload them because of Google’s circumvention rules. That’s what hurts the most. It feels like they actually want this to happen, they want to stop history in its tracks.

Day 4 until @MoistCr1TiKaL reacts. 13+ years of work preserving WWII history. Thousands of hours of research, footage and archival material. Then my educational channel was terminated over alleged “child nudity” violations. Real historical footage is being removed from YouTube while AI-generated “brainrot” content is everywhere. I’ve tried the official appeals and support channels, but I’m still fighting to have the case properly reviewed. @MoistCr1TiKaL if you see this, please help bring attention to what happened. #RestorePanzerPicture #HistoryMatters

Real historical footage is being removed from YouTube while AI-generated “brainrot” content is everywhere. My channel spent years preserving rare WWII footage and educating viewers about history. It was terminated following claims involving “child nudity.” Yet AI-generated content can spread completely fabricated stories and misinformation. Where is the human review for legitimate educational content? @TeamYouTube @YouTube #RestorePanzerPicture #SaveWWIIHistory

YOUTUBE DELETED 13 YEARS OF WWII HISTORY At this point, I only have 3 months left to recover my channel. After that, everything on my account will be permanently deleted. (155K subs) pure archive footage of tanks + veteran stories was nuked by AI for “child sexual abuse” and “harmful content with minors”. Zero kids. Zero violations. Just historical footage. We need a REAL human review NOW! If you hate Big Tech erasing history: LIKE this post COMMENT “Restore Panzerpicture” REPOST this! if AI censorship of history must STOP! #RestorePanzerPicture #YouTubeCensorship #WWIIHistory #SaveHistory @TeamYouTube

I’ve never been particularly impressed by someone’s popularity or the size of their following in the fandom. what DOES impress me are the people who use their influence, time, money, and resources to enrich the lives of others. I have a TON of respect for those who actively work to make the community better. Supporting charities, artists, musicians, running events, creating welcoming spaces, helping others succeed, or just dedicating their time to something that benefits people beyond themselves and their friends. That resonates with me. conversely, I find myself having increasingly less patience for people whose efforts seem to revolve exclusively around their own popularity, personal gain, or enrichment with little consideration for the community around them. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with wanting to improve your own life, and I don’t expect everybody to dedicate their time or money to helping others 24/7. we all got our own shit going on in life that makes it hard sometimes, I get it… and even doing something that makes someone smile has value. but I think there’s a difference between building a following and building a community. I don’t think this is a controversial opinion, at least I’d hope it’s not. I’d genuinely love to see more people using their influence to lift others up. nobody’s perfect, myself included, but I think making an effort to leave the fandom a little better than you found it says way more about someones character than their popularity ever could. at the end of the day, I’m not impressed by how many people know who you are, I’m impressed by how many people’s lives are better because of what you’ve done. take it or leave it, this is a dumb late night dird thought on text lmao

Joshua Michael found an access token on Flock's public website. No login required. No authentication. Just sitting there. He downloaded Flock's entire database. 300,000 device locations. 170,000 cameras. 130,000 other hardware units. 27,000 acoustic detectors. Made a map. Published it September 23. The Senate held a hearing on Flock the same day. Cited Michael's research. Flock panicked. Sent a cease-and-desist. Used a brand-protection vendor called Doppel to claim trademark infringement. The map said it wasn't affiliated with Flock. Doppel didn't care. Michael's site went dark. Then Proton moved it to Swiss servers. Now it lives on protonmcp.org. Untouchable. Uncensorable. Hosted by an encryption company in a country that doesn't care what Flock wants. The irony is crystalline. Flock left an access token on the internet. Michael used it to download their own data. Published it. Flock tried to suppress it. Proton said suppressing it is suppressing information. Which is true. The map shows Flock has 150,000 more cameras than they publicly claimed. Shows acoustic detection units mapping human speech across the country. Shows which police departments have access to the whole network. Flock doesn't want that visible. So they tried trademark infringement. Which only worked until Proton decided transparency matters more than Flock's feelings. Now everyone can see exactly how many cameras are watching their car. Where they are. Which cops can see them. Michael warned Flock about the exposed token in November 2025. Flock ignored him. Then got mad when he used it. The surveillance company that claims to protect privacy just tried to suppress the only map showing how much they actually surveille. And failed.
‼️ Proton is hosting a map of 300,000+ Flock surveillance device locations that Flock tried to get taken down. Researcher Joshua Michael says he pulled them from Flock's own systems via a token left open to anyone. Proton calls the takedown "an attempt to suppress information."
