This week, I took the opportunity to raise issues affecting people here in Wokingham, at the Lib Dem Conference. I also supported local events celebrating Wokingham's landmarks and it's people, and worked on improving local primary care. Here's what else I've done this week:

Enjoyed meeting with Prostate Cancer Research to discuss their work to improve earlier diagnosis, the next phase of their screening campaign and their new Prostate Progress initiative. We also discussed my Private Members Bill, and how we can improve outcomes for patients.

Yesterday, I Joined Surfers Against Sewage, Paddle UK, Rewilding Britain, Ed Davey and the Marine Conservation Society for a beach clean in Brighton, highlighting the importance of protecting our waterways. Great to see so many people coming together to make a difference.

It was great to attend the Association of Convenience Stores’ Heart of the Community Reception in Parliament this week. The event provided a valuable opportunity to speak to store owners about the challenges and opportunities they are facing.

Wokingham is home to many Ukrainians who are deeply concerned about wavering international support for their fight against Russia's invasion. In Parliament, I urged the Government to reaffirm its commitment to Ukraine, and that this would remain even if the US abandons them.

This week I spoke with cancer charity Maggie’s to discuss society lotteries' vital role in funding services who support people living with cancer, and their families. These funds are capped, but changes to these limits could help Maggie’s and other charities help more people.

Shortfalls in the NHS workforce could prevent the Gov's targets for early cancer diagnosis from being delivered. After chairing a roundtable with the @RCRadiologists this week, I called for a debate to resolve the NHS workforce shortfalls, so earlier diagnosis can be delivered.

I've heard from many residents that Gov departments have missed or ignored their accessibility needs. This is not good enough. I pressed the Gov to ensure people with accessibility needs can access services and get support at every stage of their interaction with Gov services.

On Wednesday, I attended the NFU’s Back British Farming Day event to celebrate the work of our farmers and growers, while discussing what is needed to support the industry. It was great to see many colleagues wearing a wheatsheaf in Parliament to show support for British farmers

Yesterday morning I chaired a Royal College of Radiologists roundtable focused on improving early cancer diagnosis, and providing the Government with actions to achieve this. Thanks to the leading clinicians, healthcare professionals and charities who shared their expertise.

On Tuesday, I contributed to a debate on the impact of the 2016 EU Membership Referendum on the UK. I highlighted the concerns of businesses in Wokingham that told me they once exported successfully to the EU, but have since seen increased costs and reduced profits as a result.

This week I went to 10 Downing Street to hand in a petition calling for the killers of PC Harper to remain in prison. I also enjoyed spending the bank holiday meeting residents at Swallowfield Show. Here's what else I have been up to:
