Corrected: UK vape duty will add £2.64 to a 10 ml bottle (inc. VAT on duty) starting 1 Oct.
I see it for £1.20 from well-known suppliers. So adding the duty makes a 220% increase - price > triples.
What behavioural responses are the supporters of this tax expecting? @AshOrgUK?
New UK vaping products released by manufacturers or suppliers must carry duty stamps from 1 October. Retailers can sell unstamped inventory already held until 31 March 2027. The grace period does not apply to new supply.

Haypp Group has relaunched NicoLeaks, its public database of independent laboratory testing for nicotine pouches, covering measures including nicotine content, pH, moisture, nitrosamines and trace metals. Haypp says more than 400 pouch products were tested during 2025.

To reduce youth vaping, many researchers support "focusing on the harms" in isolation (i.e., without also telling them cigs are much more harmful).
Lo and behold, this may have negative consequences (not to mention the ethics of accurate messaging):
Inaccurately believing that e-cigs are just as harmful or worse than cigs predicts higher odds of complete abstinence, but also higher odds of exclusive cig smoking and other product use.

They are so determined to eradicate nicotine, that they try to remove all the safer sources, thus protecting cigarettes from competition.
I’m not sure what you are supposed to say to somebody who thinks nicotine should be as dangerous as possible?
