Mikey Romero is still a prospect that intrigues me.
The 22-year-old hasn’t hit for as much power in 2026, but has seen his Contact% sit nearly at 80% compared to 70.8% last year.
Romero still hits the ball hard (AvgEV of 91.1 mph). His EV90 and EV50 are both well above-avg, and with a profile that does a solid job of elevating the ball, still has the threat of hitting for more power.

Red Sox reviving the “short game.” Forcing teams to play faster higher level catch than they are prepared for.

New York @Yankees Manager Aaron Boone (@AaronBoone) on how he grows leaders within his clubhouse:
💪 Leadership is like a muscle, and if you stretch it consistently it will grow incrementally. You can challenge your leaders to be better just like you challenge players to be more disciplined.
📢 Leadership starts with example, but CULTURE permeates from communication. The origin of accountability is where the BEST players ensure standards are clearly communicated and consistently reinforced.
🖼️ The art of leadership is seeing invisible gains in the invisible margins. Meaning micro improvements that don't show up in the short term, but come with lasting long term impact.

Great thoughts on hiring staff even when you don’t have a prior relationship with them.
