There are a lot of GREAT people doing things the right way in basketball.
There are GREAT trainers. Just because you see a trainer on social media doing 7–8 dribble combo moves doesn’t mean every trainer is bad. Kids NEED skill development.
There are GREAT travel ball platforms. One bad experience shouldn’t define them all. Kids need opportunities to apply their skill set in real game situations. There’s no substitute for GAME REPS.
There are GREAT high school coaches. Don’t let the coach who doesn’t hold offseason workouts or open gyms ruin your perception of the ones who sacrifice their time-often with only a handful of players showing up to help kids get better.
There are GREAT travel ball coaches. Don’t let the coach who acts a fool overshadow the coaches sacrificing their time, energy, and MONEY every week to pour into student-athletes.
Stop judging an entire group by the worst example you’ve seen. 💯
