There were so many excellent questions and thoughtful conversations. In my parting remarks, I shared a little about my commitment to open, shared educational content and making knowledge accessible to anyone who wants to learn.
I lived in East Africa before I started university, and in so many ways, the experience found its way into my heart.

.@UTAustin researchers have been working on technology that would allow some artificial intelligence to use less energy in a collaboration with the world’s largest semiconductor foundry, according to an Aug. 28 news release from @CockrellSchool. Researchers released a paper in August explaining the three-year-long exploration of the use of spin-orbit torque magnetic random access memory, which does not require data centers to run.

Y'all, this is such an honor and I'm so humbled to be selected for the Harold W. McGraw Jr. Prize in Education for lifelong learning. Few entities take the time to honor educators, so this feels very special.
It's nice recognition for the various educational initiatives we have launched -- TV shows, online platforms, public events, interactive curricula, books, speeches, screenings, and essays -- aimed at learners outside the classroom.
