France is winning brownie points in the Middle East:
1) TotalEnergies is helping several countries (notably Iraq) to ship crude oil throughout the Strait of Hormuz (sure, this is a private company, but I doubt TTE has not consulted the French government about it).
2) Paris is sending soldiers and kit to Yanbu to help the Saudis against missile attacks from the Houthis
3) France deployed Rafale fighter jets over the United Arab Emirates early in the conflict, ostensibly to protect the little-known navy base it operates in Abu Dhabi

I am not sure we need a space academy. But if we get one it would be really awesome for it to be located in Texas.
Texas has been at the heart of America’s human spaceflight program for more than 60 years. From @NASAJohnson to Starbase’s @SpaceX to @BlueOrigin and the rest of our thriving commercial space industry, there is no better host for the U.S. Space Academy than the Lone Star State.
I was proud to join my colleagues in the Texas congressional delegation on a letter to the Selection Commission in support of Texas’ bid to be the home of the U.S. Space Academy.

I know Austin is not a normal barometer of Texas statewide political sentiment but I have seen zero signs and bumper stickers for Paxton. Usually, I’ll see a few for the GOP’s top of the ticket.
He won statewide in TX in the days when you could straight party vote. He never had to campaign statewide. Now he is the top of the ticket, you can't straight party vote...and he simply isn't campaigning. No signs, no mailers, few ads - even the ads are mostly anti-Talarico, never mentioning Paxton.

I like what Google has been doing with wind, solar, batteries, geothermal and nuclear...don't love this plan with diesel, though.
Google is more than DOUBLING backup diesel generator capacity at its Fort Wayne data center, adding 231 more generators and storage tanks.
It will have 1.2 GW of backup power capacity and nearly 2.5 million gallons of diesel storage onsite.
