I still remember this nightmare. I have to prepare 7 modules for my finals and went to exam with just preparation of 2 modules. Got 90 out of 100, i still don't know how.
This is the only subject I didn't understand nearly 80% of syllabus. But this is prerequisite for Compiler Design and I understand everything about that. Still a mystery

Writing async function without await is dangerous. FastAPI is smart enought to put all synchronous functions(which are just def) into a separate/external thread pool while main async event loop still takes the requests. But if you start with async def and don't use await, it blocks the main event loop. You can clearly observe the differences between true async and async without await(sync-blocking, 2nd pic)
