#FBF to the summer of 2008 when Commissioner of Agriculture Les Tindal saw to it that I attended the South Carolina Commissioner’s School for Agriculture! I’m proud to carry on the legacies of so many who have gone before us by investing in the next generation of agricultural leaders. I fully plan to support our youth programs like 4-H, FFA, the SC Farm Bureau Youth Conference, Conservation Districts’ Envirothon, Commissioner’s School for Agriculture, the SC Governor’s School for Agriculture, Ag in the Classroom, and many others across our state. Through a collaborative approach with State Superintendent @ellenfored , we will work to bring more local food into our schools, build a strong statewide Farm to School program, and partner with local schools to bring agriculture back into every school district across South Carolina. The future of South Carolina agriculture is in our hands. It all starts with investing in the next generation! 🌱🚜🇺🇸
