🔴Labour is running on a campaign of "hope" in Holborn & St Pancras, but is hiding its candidate from media interviews and proper scrutiny.

It's not hard to see why, if you know her record and that of Camden Labour on the key local issues of our time - Camden's devastating crisis of housing affordability and the genocide in Gaza.
In part 2 of our investigative history of Camden Labour (link below), me and the brilliant Jessica Murray show how the brutal Starmerite purge of Camden Council has had real, concrete outcomes.
This new intake of Councillors, including
@Sagal_AW, now roll over for developers by letting them break their promises and slash the number of affordable houses mega developers must build.
And when local residents responded in fury to the crimes in Gaza, the Camden Labour group cracked down on protests and did everything they could to frustrate local demands for divestment. The result is Camden's investments in companies like Palantir have sky-rocketed since October 2023.
What has Sagal Abdi-Wali done? Repeat the maddening language of the Jewish Labour Movement, Labour Friends of Israel and the Board of Deputies, and their insistence on "community cohesion" - a galling phrase that recodes and stigmatises popular revulsion at genocide as intemperate, irresponsible and illegitimate.
Burnham is promising hope; but in Camden Labour we see exactly how it was destroyed, along with Labour's credibility; and in Sagal Abdi-Wali, we have a beneficiary and lieutenant of a Starmerite war on democracy that has delivered disappointment on housing and complicity in genocide.
