guessing the comments section on those videos was suspiciously supportive

The scary part is how convincing the attack vector looks. One bad tutorial and a smart contract interaction can turn into a very expensive lesson.

The giveaway is a tutorial that asks you to paste in your seed phrase to deploy.

Of course YouTube's AI doesn't bother removing any of these, and instead removes established YouTube channels that are 10 years old

It annoys me to think sometimes how much more liquidity crypto would have if the community wasn't rife with scammers. Although I must admit it's satisfying to watch them drain themselves 😂

People watching a YouTube tutorial to get rich deserve the scam.

Who owns the failure here? YouTube hosted and amplifiedthe content. Claude helped users build the arbitrage bot that was designed to empty wallets. And 224 people end up getting burned. YT, Claude, or is it still the user’s responsibility?

The model was not the exploit. The deploy button was. 224 people did not get hacked by Claude. They pasted a contract from a fake tutorial and signed it. 274 ETH over six months is not “AI crime.” It is the same drain-script play with a new thumbnail. If you cannot read the contract, you are not running a bot. You are the liquidity.

🚨 VITALIK BUTERIN REJECTS CLAIM AI COULD CRASH BITCOIN 50% Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin pushed back against a forecast that AI could cause Bitcoin to lose more than half its value within two years. Buterin says the probability of AI breaking Bitcoin’s underlying cryptography is “tiny.” He also says roughly 90% of his net worth is already in crypto.
