I still remember as a kid.. when we found out about warp tunnels.. it literally blew our little minds. It was like a fable, a rumor.. kids would talk about at school and not believe each other. We would then all meet up over at my house and do it to prove it. Good times. Nowadays the internet takes the surprise and wonder out of everything.

I just did this but the funny part is it doesn't look like that in the original.

This is the Famicom Disk Version, which is different from the Famicom/NES one

That is not what -1 looked like for me. It was just a long underwater level.

I never knew this! I wonder if you can do this on the All-Stars version!

That's not what minus world looked like on my cartridge. It was basically 2-2 but instead of getting a flag at the end pipe it repeated

But not in the SNES remake, because it was removed.

Yeah I totally remember, it was an urban legend and mind blowing when I first seen my buddy accomplish it

I still remember finding this by myself when I was at my grandparents place, playing on a black and white TV in the late 80s😂

I love these bugged levels in the classics. Basically the game is set to pull a line of data depending on the world you warp to but in this case its just like 🤷‍♂️

It is crazy. I spent hours upon hours in the minus world. I figured it was there for a reason

I always thought you had to do a trick to jump over the flagpole at the end of the level to get to world -1

I do...with a TV that did not show the ground of this game. Rough start I suppose.

My question is: How did we all find this out before the internet? I guess because there was no internet we all had lots of time!
