New York City once protested former Congressman Bowman and current Rep. AOC. It is now an afterthought. They literally chanted "Hey AOC you can't hide... You're supporting genocide" ... --this was many months before she took to the DNC telling Democrats that Kamala Harris was tirelessly working for a ceasefire.
Mamdani is stone-faced as the protesters call him a traitor and sellout.

i wrote about his case last year and how it changed our community forever. this case and all the ones like it revealed the sham of our civil liberties & were used to manufacture consent for the ensuing decade of war and occupation: oregonhumanities.org/rll/mag…

His conduct and posting about ISIS in Discord got him banned many times. He had to set up multiple Tik Tok and Discord accounts ... That did not lead to an arrest. So they waited until he was 18 years , two weeks away from his suspected plot to arrest him. I think he should have been arrested sooner. But the FBI apparently had other goals.
So, the FBI groomed and entrapped a teenager.

BREAKING: Ironically on the same day that the FBI touted their work in thwarted a suspected plot shoot up Mall of America, a judge tossed out the confession of Walid bin Attash accused of conspiring the 9/11 attacks. nytimes.com/2026/10/07/us/po…

"The judge also found that when F.B.I. agents brought treats to their interrogation room to gain Mr. bin Attash’s cooperation they were copying a technique sometimes used by the C.I.A. to keep a prisoner confessing," Carol Rosenberg wrote. "Mr. bin Attash was questioned by the F.B.I. in his fourth year of U.S. detention, and he had not yet been charged with a crime or been allowed to meet with a lawyer." nytimes.com/2026/10/07/us/po…

Walid bin Attash is accused of training two of the 9/11 hijackers. His confession has been thrown out in court. That's five confessions tossed out in case against those charged with plotting 9/11. The CIA contracted doctors like James Mitchell and Bruce Jessen who collected data on water boarding prisoners. There should be some sort of special council investigation into Mitchell and Jesse after they administered a tortured program. Should be an easy win considering they settled with the ACLU.

Again their fucking trophy arrests. I am really curious what the defendant's lawyers will find in discovery: full unredacted transcripts between the informant and suspect (not what the complaint provides the public)
In Florida a few months ago, a FBI case collapsed when they tried to prosecute Harun Abdul-Malik Yener as a terrorist plotting to bomb NYSE. A jury found the FBI basically did the same thing there of grooming him into someone they could make a splash with.

Officials arrested a Minnesota teen who they say was planning a mass shooting at the Mall of America inspired by the Islamic State. Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud, 18, tried to buy weapons from an undercover agent he thought was with the extremist group, officials said. wapo.st/4rUTmwv

It’s always the same, the FBI creates the plot, foils it and claims victory — this is the cycle of threat creation in this country since 2001. Another life ruined to keep the DHS machinery going.
FBI agents have apprehended an 18 year old who had been speaking to an FBI informant for two years until the FBI provided him with a rifle and ammunition and arrested him for it, the FBI says.

Same.
We have real terrorist networks, cells, recruitment pipelines and threats developing on U.S. soil, and we are running out of time to disrupt them. Yet we keep seeing resources devoted to pushing entrapment operations instead of finding the terrorists who actually pose a capable threat. If the federal government is no longer willing or able to do the job, states need to stop waiting for FBI to fix itself. Build the counterintelligence and counterterrorism capabilities necessary to identify, investigate and disrupt threats yourself. States should not have to beg Washington to protect their communities. No one is coming to save you!

The FBI did groom Mateo Ventura (theintercept.com/2023/06/15/…) and Mahin Khan (theintercept.com/2016/08/03/…). The FBI informant offered Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud a way out asking if he'd still like to continue his plans. Ventura, changed his mind, contacted the FBI to report the confidential informant as a terrorist. The FBI arrested Ventura. All three of these young men had zero contact with ISIS. Their only contact was with FBI informants.
This is what FBI entrapment actually looks like: agents or confidential informants will find a vulnerable person, such as a child or someone with mental illness or intellectual disability, groom them for a long period of time, and create a crime.

Another big difference is that Mohamud had a precise plan to carry out his plot: Oct. 24th at MofA. He was banned from multiple Discord accounts after viewing ISIS propaganda.

How's that defending him. That's your assessment. My critique is that the FBI could have intervene much sooner when he started telling the informant that he had an affinity for mass shooters. They spoke with parents. He was a high schooler the FBI didn't talked to the school district. The FBI pulled Sheikhdoon Abdullahi Mohamud like a trophy but shut up when Shamsud-Din Jabbar drove through Bourbon Ave. killing 15 Americans. There are multiple instances where intelligence agencies failed to intervene in domestic terrorism cases.

He thought he was talking with ISIS. How are you this dense as to defend a kid who was planning a terrorist attack?

Naw. The FBI saved some lives. Something the agency couldn't do in the case of Shamsud-Din Jabbar. But this child had no contacts inside ISIS. When they approached his parents and were supposedly turned down they didn't take the parents in for questioning? They didn't contact the school district? He had no genuine contacts with ISIS. Only contacts he made where with the feds = no intel.

Holy hell you’re defending him? 😂

I was in the press conference when US Attorney Daniel Rosen announced those charges. A KARE11 reporter asked why they didn't arrest him sooner. No comment. Another reporter asked what FBI agents told the child's parents. No comment. I asked if the FBI contacted the school district. No comment. He never communicated with ISIS, the court documents state. He talked only with the FBI.
They had two years to intervene. Instead, they set him for the statistic.

You'd think he'd be a valuable asset to flip over more information on ISIS --like how they recruit Americans -- the only people this high schooler spoke with were FBI agents.

Tonight after the budget public hearing, Minneapolis Council Member Robin Wonsley asked the city budget director what would happen if Mayor Jacob Frey vetoes the council-approved budget (which must be passed by year’s end). Minneapolis Budget Director Shawn Greene said, “It puts the city in uncharted territory. We’ve never had a failure to pass a budget. I don’t want to use the term financial crisis, but it certainly would be an interesting scenario.”

The FBI could have informed his parents and school district about his behavior. Find out if the kid had genuine contacts with ISIS. Free cheese is only found in a mousetrap. The only ISIS people this kid contracted where in the FBI.

He thought he was part of ISIS… so what’s the difference?
