There are a few things that seem to be emerging as a new, bipartisan consensus among the people. 1. The political class is too old. 2. Tech overlords have too much power. 3. The Epstein class is real To these, I would like to add: 4. The presidency has become too powerful.

This is what FBI entrapment actually looks like: agents or confidential informants will find a vulnerable person, such as a child or someone with mental illness or intellectual disability, groom them for a long period of time, and create a crime.
FBI agents have apprehended an 18 year old who had been speaking to an FBI informant for two years until the FBI provided him with a rifle and ammunition and arrested him for it, the FBI says.

It's strange that Mark Foley has a protected account here on X, official party organ of Florida sex offenders. In addition to investigating the Nixon investigation, presumably Todd Blanche will try to rehabilitate Florida pedophile Mark Foley.

Dennis Hastert died this weekend. 20 years ago this week, the Mark Foley scandal broke — revealing a congressman preying on teenage House pages while Hastert was speaker. Here's my piece on what it was like to be at the center of it all: politico.com/magazine/story/…

New: The government doesn’t track how often immigration officers detain U.S. citizens. So ProPublica did. We’ve found more than 500 Americans who were held against their will during this Trump administration. propub.li/4zmkdnX

Dennis Hastert, the disgraced former GOP Speaker of the House, died earlier today at 84. A prior version of this post stated that Hastert was jailed for violating banking laws. That post missed the mark. Hastert was jailed on charges related to his concealment of hush money payments made to cover up sexual abuse. cbsn.ws/4jGsOgk

Hot potato.
Turns out all the judges in the district have recused, so 6th Circuit will designate one from outside.

Between the AI bubble and the energy crisis from Trump's war in Iran, things aren't looking great for the global economy. While the warning signs are usually evident earlier, severe global downturns tend to happen in October. us.plus500.com/en/newsandmar…

Not actually random--they had to do this to comply with the Clery Act. What Cornell did was obstruction of justice. The fact they took steps to notify the community while also editing her transcript to omit the most salient facts makes the intent clear.
If what the DA said in his interviews was true and Jane doe never said she was raped why did Cornell sent an email to students stating "the Cornell University Police Department received a report of a sexual assault"

Michael Tracey published what he said was the ID of "Jane Doe" in the Cornell case. Then he took it down, claiming it was out of principle. What he didn't admit is that he mistook info on a sketchy site for official NY court records. Let's take a look at what actually happened.

Hegseth apparently thinks that the civilian faculty at the service academies are easily replaceable. He'll find out they aren't when there's a mass exodus of faculty leaving to accept tenure elsewhere. He'll replace them with Liberty University grads. cbsnews.com/news/hegseth-mil…

A woman on TikTok said; Talked to my college kid yesterday. Cornell rapist Johnathan Newell now attends my child’s small private college (it’s in his home town). The rest of students in the school doxxed his home address and started group chats to notify each other every time he is spotted on campus. I hear he is being harassed on the daily. He won’t last much longer there. May he and every other person in that group chat never know another moment of peace.
