Excellent thread on the MO redistricting.
When boiled down to R vs. D & control of Congress, it completely misses that SoS Hoskins is basically trying to unilaterally say that Missourians do not have a referendum, something explicitly granted to them in the state constitution.
This is such an important point, and to understand the case, you have to start with the question:
Is Missouri’s 2025 gerrymandered congressional map actually Missouri law?
The Missouri Supreme Court, the final authority on Missouri law, unanimously said no.
Let’s look at why:
