Posting this again, please retweet. A young boy was in a tragic accident with his mother that left both of them with severe burns and crushed legs. Surgery was urgently needed at that time, but they could only raise enough for his mother’s procedure. His injured leg has continued to cause him pain and if care isn’t taken soon, he might be handicapped. They recently saw a doctor again and surgery has been scheduled for November, in kano. Like always, let’s come together and be of help please. let’s get this boy out of pain and get him walk properly again We currently have just 60k+ so far. Please donate — no amount is too small. I was at His Excellency Atiku Abubakar’s residence this week, and I heard him speak from the heart. His priority is simple: the welfare of ordinary Nigerians and an end to the hardship crushing families every day. He is building the next generation of leaders by bringing competent young people and women into governance and politics, not keeping power among the same old circle. This is not a campaign slogan. It is what he already practices. Even now, over 80% of the people around him and on his staff are youths. Nigerians, choose the man who feels your pain and is working to give you a better country. Do not choose Tinubu, who is promising you more pain if you hand him a second term. Vote Atiku. —AbdulAziz Na'ibi Abubakar

This is really sad wallahi. I’ve been reading tweets about this lady who died yesterday and who reportedly struggled with depression while she was alive, but this particular tweet really touched me mehn. Her medication had finished and she couldn’t afford to buy more. She reportedly tweeted about it saying “Tinubu must go.” Only God knows how many people have been pushed to the brink by difficult living conditions and the state of the economy. May Allah have mercy on her and make things easier for those who are struggling in silence!🤲🏾

One among hundreds of stories of surviving a crackdown as a Kaduna APC critic: Salim Babajo (A Facebook influencer) For months, Salim has been one of the top critics of the Kaduna APC government, and because of this, he was added to the list of public enemies number one. He became one of the key voices calling out government failures across the entire Zaria senatorial zone. A few weeks back, Salim wrote on his page that his safety was at risk, as he was being tracked and monitored by authorities who wanted to arrest him. This was an alarm that should not have been met with silence. Measures should have been taken—such as issuing a public statement, filing a court restraining order, or providing a safe house for him. To my knowledge, none of this was done. Yesterday, while meeting with senior members regarding the arrest of 13 members from Kafanchan, one from Rigasa, and ten ADC members from Kudan, I received a report about Salim's situation. Salim sells power banks online, and his call was intercepted by a potential buyer who told him he would buy a large order once he restocked. That buyer was picked up by security personnel and forced to call Salim to bring the power banks. Luckily, Salim was sleeping and missed 30 calls. They later released the buyer, who then informed Salim of what had happened. Personally, I feel deeply unsafe knowing that state resources—which ought to be used to track dangerous bandits and secure Kaduna—are being used to track me or my team members. I saw a girl whose face was smashed with a stone by an APC thug. I saw a woman stabbed, and many young, innocent guys arrested. For most of these arrests, neither party leadership nor their actions secured their release; on some days, you simply have to call on family, friends, or associates who have favors or leverage with the APC or security agencies. A few weeks ago, I got intelligence that a hit was placed on one of our members—a young girl in her twenties. I got down on my knees in the middle of the night and prayed for her safety. Until you are looked in the eye and told, "You are a problem to us; if you don't go silent, we will lock you up or silence you by any means necessary..." Until a leader you respect is locked away for 7 months, or a respected religious leader in his 70s is arrested and still detained... Until then, you won't understand certain decisions. One of the ADC leaders in Jigawa was kidnapped along the Abuja–Kaduna highway on his way to pick up nomination forms from the ADC headquarters. He was a known thorn in the side of the powers that be in the state. Even after his ransom was paid, they still killed him. I still see his son every day been left with orphans

OPPOSITION IS NOT A CRIME,STOP THE ARREST OF YOUTHS Dear Governor @ubasanius , I write to you today as a concerned citizen to address a deeply troubling trend in Kaduna State: the increasing harassment, intimidation, and arrest of youths for expressing political opposition and exercising their constitutional right to free speech. Your Excellency, Nigeria is a constitutional democracy, and under our laws, political opposition is not a crime. The foundation of any healthy democracy relies on the freedom of citizens, especially the youth to voice their grievances, criticize government policies, and demand better governance without the fear of state-sponsored retaliation. Recent developments in Kaduna State paint a worrying picture of a shrinking civic space. Reports of youth leaders and social media commentators being arrested, detained, or threatened over political commentary or opposition affiliations undermine the very principles of justice and fairness you swore to uphold. Using security apparatuses to stifle dissent does not breed respect; it breeds fear, resentment, and deepens the divide between the government and the governed. True leadership is measured by its tolerance for criticism and its willingness to engage with dissenting voices. The energy, frustration, and critical feedback of Kaduna’s youths should be viewed as a call for constructive engagement and better opportunities, not as a threat to state security. I respectfully urge your administration to take the following steps: •Order the immediate release of all youths and political actors currently detained for peacefully expressing their political views or criticizing state policies. •Direct security agencies to stop the unlawful intimidation and disruption of peaceful opposition gatherings. •Foster open dialogue by creating constructive channels where youths can share their frustrations regarding insecurity, unemployment, and governance without fear of arrest. Governor Sani, you have previously demonstrated leadership by intervening in cases of unlawful detention. I appeal to that same sense of justice now. Please choose the path of democratic maturity over political persecution. Stop the arrests, engage the youth, and remember that a strong opposition is vital to the progress of Kaduna State. Yours sincerely A Concerned Citizen. Hauwa m Ahmad Convener Elrufai girls @ModibboSanusi @Safreenarrhh @Mr_Emmcap__ #OppositionIsNotACrime #StopYouthArrests #VoiceOfKadunaYouth

Kaduna Opposition Under Existential Threat: 24 El-Rufai Youth Supporters Arrested in LGs of Kudan, Kafanchan and Igabi Amid Growing Repression and Human Rights Concerns - @ElrufaiBoys The reported arrest of 24 young supporters associated with the El-Rufai political movement across Igabi, Kafanchan and Kudan, including local government leaders of the ADC and PDP, should concern every democrat who cares about Kaduna State’s peace and stability. Political disagreement is not a crime. Supporting El-Rufai, Atiku,Sarkin Bai or ADC or any other political movement is not, in itself, a criminal offence. Young Nigerians have the constitutional right to hold political opinions, associate with political organisations and peacefully express their views. Among the names associated with the affected political network are Zakari Ya’u Muhammad, ADC chairman; Sauban Jibril; Hamza Talle; Abdulmalik Ibrahim, Ward B ADC chairman; Anas Usman Amfani; Ibrahim Tanimu Amfani; Hassan Yaro, PDP chairman, Jama’a; Bala Nuhu, Kafanchan; Sallau, Ward A party chairman; Lukman Abdullahi; Yunusa Audi Abubakar; Abubakar Jibril; Aliyu Saidu; Babangida Talle; Fabulous Rigasa; Ibrahim Yunusa; Tasiu Abdullahi; Gambo Mu’azu; Hussaini Sha’aibu; Musbahu Basiru; Basiru Shehu; Mu’azu Jibrin; Nazifi Muhammad; Mu’azu Basiru; Jibrin Kabir; Idris Sani; and Mustapha Halliru. If any individual is alleged to have committed a specific offence, the appropriate response is investigation, due process and, where necessary, prosecution before a competent court—not the broad criminalisation of political identity or peaceful opposition. I call on ADC national leadership, opposition political leaders, civil society organisations, the Nigerian Bar Association, human-rights advocates, traditional institutions and respected religious leaders to urgently establish the facts surrounding these arrests. This is bigger than El-Rufai. It is bigger than ADC. It is about whether young people in Kaduna can participate in democratic politics without fear. Kaduna has experienced enough insecurity, communal violence and political tension. Nobody should create another fault line capable of putting millions of young people at risk. If those arrested committed an offence, authorities should clearly state the allegations, provide access to legal representation and allow the courts to determine their cases. If they committed no offence, they should be released without unnecessary delay. Silence would be dangerous. Intervention is not an endorsement of any party or individual; it is an investment in peace. Kaduna cannot afford a cycle in which political disagreement produces arrests, arrests produce anger, anger produces confrontation and confrontation produces loss of life. The objective must be clear: protect citizens’ rights, prevent escalation, preserve peace and ensure that every political disagreement is resolved through democratic and lawful means. Kaduna belongs to all of us. Before a manageable political dispute becomes an unmanageable security crisis, responsible leaders must act. @B_ELRUFAI @HafsatMohBaba @atiku @IsaAshiruKudan @aykay_umr @muktarbaloni @BolajiADC @AAD_EL_Rufai @SenDavidABMark @Laurestar

NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL FROM MAINSTREAM POLITICS DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS: THE SITUATION IN KADUNA AND THE SAFETY OF EL-RUFAI & ADC SUPPORTERS For accountability and posterity, I believe I owe everyone an explanation. Over the last three years, I have participated voluntarily in several political initiatives. I started with Rescue Kaduna, which many eventually left for APC; then SDP, where I helped form the SDP North-West Youth Movement. I later became part of the El-Rufai Media Team, which merged with El-Rufai Live, an opposition platform that has grown to generate about 16 million monthly engagements. I helped establish the Kaduna ADC Youth Wing, co-forged the Nasiriyya-Ashiru Youth Front, established media platforms, led Kaduna youth participation at the ADC convention, advocated for youth quota during the congress, participated in the screening of aspirants and sale of forms, and contributed to the emergence of two House of Representatives candidates and several State Assembly candidates. Everything we have done politically has been voluntary. Nobody forced or enticed us into it. We did it because we believed in a cause, in the leadership we followed, and because we believed APC had failed and that Nigeria and Kaduna deserve better leadership. It is therefore with a heavy heart that I announce my withdrawal from mainstream political activities due to growing safety concerns and the increasingly difficult environment for political participation in Kaduna, particularly for El-Rufai and ADC supporters. Over the past seven months, more than 50 of our members have been arrested and 20 injured. In every incident, no one from the party at the national or state level visited these victims at home or offered the support they deserved. Statements after each incident are not enough to prevent attacks or make ADC youth feel safe. At a bare minimum, the party can provide lawyers and press support whenever members are attacked, and leaders can sometimes lead solidarity protests. That is what parties facing repressive regimes at every level of government do. Even our leader could not secure a protest by ADC national leaders. APC appears willing to take advantage of this weakness and regain power. If ADC does not provide defence and safety, and continues to drag its feet, we may face a painful reality. I will remain a supporter of ADC candidates and, Insha Allah, vote during the polls. I will continue to monitor the affairs of the candidates we have supported and assist them in every possible and safest way. However, until safer conditions and a more secure atmosphere emerge, all El-Rufai youth groups under my coordination will go into inactive political mode. Any individual member who personally feels safe enough to continue participating in ADC activities remains free to make that decision independently. This is not directed at any single person, nor is it an attempt to blame an individual. I see this as an organisational concern. As a party and organisation, I have not seen sufficient plans, frameworks, attention or concrete measures directed towards the safety and protection of young El-Rufai and ADC supporters who are actively promoting the party and its candidates. I cannot continue encouraging thousands of young people to take risks when I cannot guarantee their safety or confidently tell them that adequate protection and support will be available if something goes wrong. To every young person who may feel hurt, disappointed or abandoned by this decision, I sincerely apologise. I am sorry. I am not capable of protecting everyone, and I will not give anyone a false sense of hope that help will certainly come when I cannot guarantee it. I sincerely appreciate Hafiz Beyro, Hon. Bello El-Rufai, Mukhtar Baloni, our Mummy Hajiya Hafsat Baba, Sardauna Matasa and Captain Jamil for continuing to look after Malam’s youths even in difficult circumstances. 1/2 @ADCNig @BolajiADC @atiku @IsaAshiruKudan @B_ELRUFAI @muktarbaloni

A post by our ADC House of Representatives candidate in the Jama’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, states that “13 ADC supporters in Kafanchan have been arrested”. We call on the Kaduna State Government to allow a free, fair, and peaceful democratic process ahead of the elections. Enough of the oppression and intimidation. The government should focus its energy on addressing the insecurity currently troubling the state and allow opposition parties and their supporters to exercise their constitutional rights to campaign, mobilise, and participate in the democratic process.

After consulting people close to the Jigawa North-West ADC Senatorial Candidate, H.E. Ahmad Mahmud Gumel (Kulkuli), I was told that the viral claims alleging that he was seen carrying a gun are false. According to a message and photographs sent tonight, the original image was allegedly manipulated using AI technology and circulated to damage the candidate’s reputation. The message stated: “This is the original image that was used to create an AI-generated image aimed at damaging the reputation of the ADC senatorial candidate.” The message further alleged that the ruling party (APC), fearing defeat, had resorted to spreading false claims and attempting to tarnish the reputation of a respected politician. “Keep your patience, Ahmadu. God willing, victory is with you.”
The Chairman of Garki LGA, Jigawa State, together with individuals described by eyewitnesses as APC thugs, reportedly attacked the convoy of the Jigawa North-West ADC Senatorial Candidate and former Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, H.E. Ahmad Mahmud Gumel (Kulkuli). According to eyewitness accounts, the confrontation escalated into chaos, during which H.E. Kulkuli was reportedly seen bringing out a firearm, allegedly to protect himself as the situation became increasingly tense.
