Squatting in Spain is encouraged by the Spanish Labour Party due to hostile anti landlord legislation and general preference to not recognise the rights of the legal title owner. Soon coming to the UK under Labour.

The current EU iteration is over, or soon will be. Le Pen/FN, AfD coalition, Fratelli d'Italia, Vox and a host of other right-of-centre parties in Poland, Hungary, Portugal and Greece etc may restore it to a functional trading bloc, but too early to say. Stay out until then...

This is a recipe for mass civil unrest and the deliberate targeting of Jewish individuals, their homes, businesses and places of worship. A Home Secretary that allows that is not fit for public office.

I remember when satire involved taking on Establishment shibboleths not reaching around in their pants for somewhere to park your tongue.
Older people are now reading "a lot of chatbot rubbish" and that's "dangerous." After four decades at Private Eye, Ian Hislop tells #Newsnight it's not just young people falling for disinformation and why it "is always worth correcting."

A prisoner who was released today due to the early release scheme, has admitted live on air that he intends to steal again and end up back in prison. Aren’t we only meant to release people who have been rehabilitated and shown remorse? Madness.

🤦‍♂️ Another day. Another Labour MP. Another CAR CRASH interview. This time it was Financial Secretary to the Treasury James Murray on @LBC, who appeared to know next to nothing about the Treasury’s own finances, much to Nick Ferrari’s mounting bemusement. Murray was busy boasting about removing VAT from energy bills to “help families this winter”. Nick asked the most basic question imaginable: how much will that cost the Treasury? Murray hadn’t a clue. Nick tried again. And again. Getting more exasperated with every attempt. Ferrari: “There must be a ballpark figure as to how much this is going to cost?” Murray: “Yes, but I haven’t got that figure in front of me.” Ferrari: “Hang on. You’re the Financial Secretary to the Treasury and you don’t know how much it’s going to cost you?” Murray: “I haven’t got the figure in front of me right now, Nick.” Ferrari: “Why not? Don’t you think it’s a fairly relevant figure, Secretary?” Nick pointed out that Murray and his colleagues must have sat around and come up with the plan, and the cost, so he should obviously know the answer. Murray just kept repeating the same line: he didn’t have the figure. Nick finally gave up: “Well I’ve asked four times and you haven’t answered. I find that extraordinary.” The whole interview was like that. Question after question on a range of subjects. No answers. Just waffle. I don’t know why these people bother going on air. Pathetic.

Andy Burnham confronted live on @LBC by an angry local over the plan to house over 1,200 young migrant men at the barracks near Piddington. Ex-forces Steve from Upper Arncott told him his kids are worried, and so are plenty of other children, about whether they can still walk to the park. Women and young girls are worried about walking around at all. “Why are you not listening to the villagers? And also why are you allowing 1,200 single males to wander around, unsupervised and not monitored?” “They should be confined to the barracks. Why are they not going to be?” Burnham said he has to do it to get people out of hotels, and that he does listen: “I do listen and I have been asking questions of the Home Office about the precise arrangements related this particular location.” He said he has to deal with it in a way that’s “fair to everywhere”. Then the usual: crossings are down, returns are up. Then the answer that actually matters. He won’t do anything: “I am looking at those issues but I wouldn’t want to give you the impression today that it can simply be cancelled because we’re not in that position.” So despite the lip service to local concerns, he won’t take any action. At a minimum he could make sure they are monitored and confined to the barracks, exactly as Steve said. He could do that. He’s CHOOSING not to. What country have we become where young children can’t go to the park because the government is deliberately dumping 1,200 strangers right there? It’s scandalous.
