Today’s decision was a victory for Missouri voters. The Missouri Supreme Court sided with democracy as Trump works to dismantle it. Thank you Respect Missouri Voters and People Not Politicians along with everyone who supported this effort.

Shame! Yesterday the Missouri Supreme Court heard three cases regarding the recent redistricting maps and processes that the Republican Party has tried to force down the throats of Missourians. Despite organizations like People Not Politicians and Respect MO Voters delivering over 300,000 petition signatures in opposition to Republicans doing Trump’s bidding in the state, the party shamefully persists. Even more shameful were attorneys for the Attorney General’s Office, Secretary of State, and Republican Party arguing before the court with blatant disregard for the Missouri Constitution and insinuating that regardless of how the court rules, they will push forward with using the unlawful gerrymandered maps in November. If you are on the right side, why go to such lengths to impede justice and create chaos?

.@LauraLoomer - you traffic in low level insults, cruelty, and ugliness. You attack and insult Black women because you believe peddling racism is good for your clicks and your business model. And while everyone with internet access and ignorant opinions doesn’t deserve a response, this is someone who is an advisor of Donald Trump and who should be condemned by all. We will never let anyone steal our joy or let those that don’t matter too much, matter too much. But to Laura Loomer, if you are going to attack brilliant, bold, beautiful Black women, know this: they are way out of your league. Respectfully, I suggest you sit this one out.

Jeff City — we’re coming. On Wednesday, September 2, we’re heading to the Missouri Supreme Court to make sure our voices are heard. Missouri voters deserve a say on the Republican-rigged congressional map. Our democracy belongs to the people, and we’re showing up to defend it. The rally runs from 10:30 AM–2:30 PM, and we’re organizing a caravan from St. Louis for anyone who needs a ride. Thank you to everyone who came out yesterday to our Community Appreciation Party! We enjoyed music, food, and games together plus a few treats. A special thank you to all who donated to make our Back to School Supplies Giveaway for Teachers a success! We met first year teachers and those with decades of experience. All went home with bags and arms full of supplies. We appreciate your generosity as we focus on being a community of care.

Teachers spend so much of their own time, energy, and money making sure their classrooms are ready for their students. We want to help make that load a little lighter. We’re collecting school supplies specifically for teachers, and we’d love your help filling their classrooms with some of the things they need most. Let’s show up for the teachers who show up for our kids every single day. Grab a few extra supplies while you’re out shopping and drop them by this weekend or early next week.

St. Louis, I love you. Thank you to every volunteer, donor, supporter, neighbor, organizer, and community member who gave your time, energy, resources, and hope to this campaign. None of this would have been possible without you. Our movement has always been about building something that will last: a coalition of everyday people who know that we deserve a government that puts us first. Not the ultra-wealthy. Not powerful lobbies. Not the interests that profit from the status quo. Us. All of us. The fight for a better St. Louis, a better Missouri, and a better country and world continues.
