There is a terrible act of injustice happening in our country right now impacting US veterans and their family members, and it’s something I’ve been reporting on for a while.
For several decades, victims of the Camp LeJeune water contamination crisis have been denied the compensation they deserve, despite suffering from cancers, neurological disorders, and other devastating illnesses caused by toxic exposure.
From 1953 to 1987, over a million veterans, their families, and civilians were exposed to highly toxic volatile organic compounds (VOCs) like TCE, PCE, vinyl chloride, and benzene in the base’s groundwater, with contamination levels far exceeding safe limits. Despite clear evidence of harm, federal officials concealed the issue, delaying action until 1987 and leaving victims without recourse for years.
The Camp LeJeune compensation crisis stands as one of the most egregious examples of government failure to address toxic exposure and deliver justice to military families.
I have obtained documentation of 5 offers of judgment from the Department of Justice to people who served or worked at Camp LeJeune Marine Corps Base who later developed terrible diseases like cancer or Parkinson’s.
And they’re far from the only ones. Thousands of people who lived or served on that base later got seriously sick, and most of those diseases have been tied back to the poisoned water at Camp LeJeune, which the US government knew about but covered up for YEARS.
The five people listed in this thread are just a handful of victims who have gone public with the shameless “offers of judgment” the US government has recently offered them.
Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward @ASGWoodward at the DOJ signed off on these disgraceful offers after being put in charge of the Camp LeJeune settlements earlier this year.
The Trump administration has a critical opportunity to deliver justice to the veterans and families harmed by the Camp LeJeune crisis.
Many of these victims have already spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on treatment and care as a result of their illnesses from their time at Camp LeJeune. The offers they’ve received do not make them financially whole, and they also don't account for the years stolen from the victims, or from their families, who have had to watch them suffer.

That’s the settlement offer Stanley Woodward at the Department of Justice sent to Jimmy Laramore after his bladder cancer and surgery. Jimmy lived in the Camp Lejeune barracks in ’83–’84 and drank, cooked, and bathed in the water on base. The worst part is that officials knew the water was poisoned and hid it from the public for years.
$25,000 does not cover the many surgeries or screenings, let alone the years of life he lost to this disease he got as a result of poisoned water at Camp Lejeune.
@ASGWoodward needs to be pulled off this case, and @AGToddBlanche needs to assign someone who will do a better job taking care of our veterans and getting them justice.
In August, the DOJ offered Jimmy $25,000 for the years of suffering our government caused him.
$25,000! That’s it?
Not only is $25,000 a slap in the face, but the DOJ also threatened to make Jimmy and the rest of the victims who received these offers of judgment pay the government’s fees if they didn’t accept the DOJ’s offer. This is basically a threat to bankrupt a cancer victim who is trying to be made whole.

@ZohranKMamdani is meeting with Satmar leadership on Wednesday, September 30th during Sukkot to thank them for disavowing @netanyahu during the UN.
These are some the same Satmar Jews who were brought to the White House by @martinjmarks, the President’s so called “Director of Jewish engagement”.
Mamdani will also be visiting with the leadership of United Jewish Organizations (UJO), which is currently being condemned for refusing to help a Jewish woman get a divorce (in America). Mamdani will also be meeting with Moishe Indig @MoishIndig, who endorsed Mamdani last year, despite Mamdani’s open record of Jew hatred and his refusal to condemn Hamas.
Satmar seems to be becoming a mouthpiece for Islam, and they do more for aiding the enemies of Jews than they do to actually help Jews.

Cornell University is set to host Islamic communist Twitch streamer Hasan Piker @hasanthehun on September 24, 2026, less than one year after signing a settlement agreement with the Trump White House that restored hundreds of millions of dollars in federal research funding to Cornell in exchange for concrete steps to combat campus antisemitism.
The November 2025 settlement deal required Cornell to pay $30 million to the government, invest another $30 million in agricultural research, share admissions data, and conduct annual surveys on whether Jewish students feel safe and whether antisemitism is actually being addressed. Federal grants that had been frozen over post-October 7th campus incidents of extreme Jew hatred and support for Islamic terrorism were restored.

Hosting Piker makes a mockery of those terms and shows the admin isn’t being aggressive enough in upholding these settlements.
Piker has a well-documented record of rhetoric that Jewish organizations, members of Congress, and campus watchdogs have called anti-Jewish, anti-American, and pro-Islamic terror. He has minimized the October 7th Hamas terrorist attack, referred to Orthodox Jews as “inbred,” suggested American Jews’ support for Israel could invite violence against them in the United States, and he said “America deserved 9/11”.
Piker routinely frames Hamas’s actions more sympathetically than Israel’s and said he would vote for Hamas over Israel.
Piker also said his favorite flag is the Hezbollah flag.
What’s the point of these settlements if the Trump administration isn’t going to enforce them?
Cornell should be forced to cancel Piker’s event or be found to be in violation of their settlement agreement with the Trump administration and have all of their federal funding revoked.
The event is being hosted by Cornell’s Students For Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter. SJP has been found to have ties to pro-Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood organizations, both of which explicitly make it their goal and mission to kill Jews.
This event is a violation of the Trump administration’s settlement with Cornell.
Was it just a piece of paper for show? Or will the Trump administration actually enforce their own settlement and hold Cornell accountable?
