🚨HUGE: The NYSE is working to bring $40 TRILLION in US stocks and ETFs ONCHAIN. The exchange has spent a year testing Avalanche and is building a tokenized securities platform with onchain settlement and stablecoin-based funding. Tokenized shareholders will keep full dividend and voting rights with instant settlement and fractional shares. Most chains were never architected for this. Governments, tokenized stocks, real world assets, payments, DeFi, and yes, even memecoins, have fundamentally different requirements. Forcing them all into the same execution environment was always a strange systems design choice. National infrastructure needs control over its own execution, data, performance, and its own secure environment. That is exactly why we built Avalanche the way we did. when Europeans and Americans look at Turkey, they see a twenty-three-year autocracy and assume the society has simply given up. they look at the captured courts and the silenced television stations, and they mistake a hijacked state for a defeated nation. they do not see the invisible war. there is an entire generation of young people in the streets right now who have never lived a single day under a different government. they were born into an absolute monopoly of power. yet they were raised on Atatürk's vision of a secular, democratic republic, and they are the ones standing in the freezing cold through the night just to protect a single ballot box. foreign observers look at Turkey from a distance and wonder why the resistance has not yet broken through. they do not realize the sheer, crushing weight of the machinery ordinary citizens are fighting against every single day. well, you do not measure an autocracy by the laws it passes. you measure it by the amount of force it requires to keep the people quiet. the scale of a regime's paranoia is the exact measurement of a nation's resistance. a secure government does not demand twenty-three centuries in prison for Ekrem İmamoğlu. it does not wipe the internet in two hours, raid physical printing presses, or send police squads to arrest the municipal workers handing out subsidized soup to students. it does not jail a defense lawyer for 439 days simply for defending his client. you only build an authoritarian apparatus this desperate when the people you are trying to rule refuse to break. the West pities Turkey because it thinks the country has been conquered. they are looking at it completely backwards. eighty-six million people did not surrender to a regime. the regime is just terrified of them.
