$XRP LEDGER CHECK Permission Delegation is live on XRPL. This lets one XRPL account give another account permission to handle specific jobs without handing over the main key that controls everything. You can give another account up to 10 specific permissions and take them back later. One account can handle payments, another can handle trust lines, or an app can get permission to do one job without getting full control of the wallet. For businesses this is useful as shit. Treasury doesn’t need to share the same key with the account handling daily payments. An app doesn’t need full access just because it needs permission to do one thing. You can split jobs between accounts and keep the main authority locked down. This is also big for utilities. Instead of giving an app broad access to an account, you can give it only the permission it needs. If you don’t want it anymore, you revoke it. PermissionDelegationV1_1 had to hold at least 29 of 35 trusted validator votes for two straight weeks. It did, and now it’s live. This isn’t code sitting in xrpld anymore. Batch is next. BatchV1_1 is still at 30 of 35 validators and fixBatchV1_2 is at 35 of 35. Both are still waiting on the October 9 window, so I’m not calling either one live yet. $XRP is trading around $1.38 tonight with centralized exchange volume around $2.3 billion.
