Rahul Gandhi says Modi & the ECI should prove they aren’t doing “Vote Chori.” An uncle had a hilarious counter-question for him: “I have a feeling Rahul Gandhi isn’t Rajiv Gandhi’s son. Now let Rahul Gandhi prove that he is!” 😹😂

🔰 UPI Remains Free for Consumers UPI continues to be free for customers. Sending money to friends, paying at shops, or scanning a QR code — all remain without charges. Key Facts: ✅ No charges on P2P: Person-to-Person transfers are always free, regardless of amount. ✅ Small merchants protected: Vendors earning up to ₹1 lakh per month via UPI QR codes continue to enjoy zero charges. ✅ Everyday payments safe: Over 95% of merchant payments are below ₹2,000 — these remain free. ✅ Nominal MDR above ₹2,000: Only larger merchant transactions above ₹2,000 attract a small fee (0.4%) to be borne by merchants, far lower than credit card charges or other network charges. ✅ Essential services capped: Railways, fuel, telecom, bill payments, insurance, etc have a flat fee of ₹5 per transaction above ₹2,000. ✅ Special low rates: Mutual fund and securities payments attract just 0.02%, capped at ₹300. Safeguards for Consumers ✅Banks instructed: Merchants cannot pass MDR costs to customers. ✅No hidden fees: UPI apps cannot levy platform charges. Debunking the “External Pressure” Myth: ✅ Some claims suggest the change is due to foreign influence. This is false. India’s UPI policy decisions are made independently, with the clear goal of building a self-sustaining, inclusive, and affordable digital payments ecosystem. Why This Matters: Since its launch in 2016, UPI has grown into the world’s largest real-time interoperable payment system — entirely on India’s own terms. UPI processed 24.5 billion transactions in August 2026 alone. To keep this system self-sustainable, secure and innovative, a small fee on high-value merchant transactions helps fund: ☑️Better infrastructure and cybersecurity ☑️Support for small merchants in Tier III–VI towns and rural areas ☑️Awareness and incentives to expand UPI adoption The new framework ensures resources from higher-value merchant transactions are reinvested to support small businesses and strengthen digital payments across the country. 🔗Read FAQs at: financialservices.gov.in/sit…

"Papa, I am hit in the abdomen. Take care of Ashar." These were the final words of a 32-year-old father, a son, and a brilliant tactical commander. Three years ago today, on September 13, 2023, the nation lost Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Humayun Muzammil Bhat in the treacherous heights of the Garol forest in Kokernag, Anantnag. He didn’t just wear the uniform; he inherited it. The son of retired Inspector General Ghulam Hassan Bhat, Humayun grew up watching his father fight militancy in the valley. Despite clearing state service exams and initially working as a social welfare officer, his true calling pulled him to the J&K Police in 2018. Known among his peers for his tactical acumen and obsession with modern combat gear, he was a leader who never led from the rear. During a joint operation targeting Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists hiding in a high-altitude natural cave, DySP Bhat, alongside 19 RR Commanding Officer Col. Manpreet Singh and Major Ashish Dhonchak, spearheaded the assault. Pushing through rugged terrain, the assault team came under heavy, anticipated fire from the fortified position. Leading from the front, all three officers took fatal hits while attempting to neutralize the threat. Even with a fatal gunshot wound, Humayun kept his composure. He managed a brief 13-second call to his veteran father and a final goodbye to his wife, Fatimah, leaving behind their one-month-old son, Ashar. For his rare courage and complete disregard for personal safety in the face of heavy enemy fire, DySP Humayun Bhat was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra, India’s second-highest peacetime gallantry award. Today, as his son grows up seeing his father’s portrait and his wife builds her life as an Assistant Professor, we remember a frontline warrior who gave everything for the soil of Kashmir. The Jammu & Kashmir Police is not just a force; it is a brotherhood of unmatched sacrifice. Salute to the Braveheart. 🇮🇳 @ajaykraina @samartoor3086 @TGD_06 @DRSB06 #HumayunBhat #JammuKashmirPolice

Not a single episode involved self-immolation of any kind. Not one. Neither Indian, nor foreign accounts record a single instance. Now see this: - 712-712, Dahir of Sind vs. Muhammad bin Qasim: Jauhar committed. 1232-1232, Gwalior (Rajputs) vs. Iltutmish: Jauhar committed - 1301-1301, Ranthambore vs. Alauddin Khalji: Jauhar committed - 1299-1299, Jaisalmer vs. Alauddin Khalji: Jauhar committed - 1303-1303, Chittor vs. Alauddin Khalji: 1st jauhar of Chittor - 1327-1327, Kampili vs. Muhammad bin Tughluq: Jauhar committed - 1326-1326, Jaisalmer vs. Ghiyath al-Din Tughluq: Jauhar committed - 1486-1486, Kuva (Kankavati) vs. Mahmud Begada: Jauhar committed - 1528-1528, Chanderi vs. Babur: Jauhar committed. - 1535-1535, Chittor vs. Bahadur Shah: 2nd jauhar of Chittor - 1543-1543, Raisen vs. Humayun: 3 jauhars committed - 1568-1568, Chittor vs. Akbar: 3rd jauhar of Chittor - 1634-1634, Bundelkhand vs. Aurangzeb: Jauhar committed - 1710-1710, Daddanala vs. Mir Fazlullah: Jauhar committed Similarly, when the British came, we had a series of gruesome engagements starting with Plassey and Buxar, then going on to the Carnatic Wars, the Anglo-Mysore Wars, the Anglo-Maratha Wars, the Anglo-Gurkha War, the Anglo-Sikh Wars, the Anglo-Burmese Wars, the Anglo-Afghan Wars, and many, many more. No jauhar. Now, when someone like that book reviewer condemns “Hindutva” for “glorifying jauhar,” I am fully on their side. I agree it was a morbid ritual that does not belong in a civilized society, thank goodness we no longer do that. But do you see a pattern in the above lists? Why do you think this macabre ritual was practiced EXCLUSIVELY in conflicts involving Muslim forces? Why didn’t women feel the need to self-immolate when their kingdoms fell to any other adversary? You can’t be dumb enough to not draw the only possible conclusion here. Nobody glorifies jauhar, it was not picnic. We “honor” it. No, not the immolation itself but the debilitating sentiment behind it. With the honor we keep our alive in our collective memory. Know why? Because the demons that drove our ancestors to such extremities still live and breathe amongst us to this day. And they haven’t changed one bit. When someone prefers death to your touch, what even are you?
