PROJECT RED ZONE: 23 FIREARMS SEIZED Peel Regional Police have announced the results of Project Red Zone, a 10-month undercover investigation into an alleged firearm trafficking network operating across the GTA. Police seized 23 firearms, 951 rounds of ammunition and 824.75 grams of cocaine. Fifteen of the firearms were traced to the United States, while forensic analysis linked 14 firearms to shootings across the GTA. One firearm was also linked to a March 2024 homicide in Mississauga.
