The rosary is not an apostolic practice. Nowhere does Scripture command Christians to pray to Mary, invoke departed saints, or repeat petitions to them. Jesus taught us to pray to the Father (Matt. 6:9), and Scripture declares there is “ONE mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus” (1 Tim. 2:5). Mary was blessed, but she is not your mediator. The apostles never prayed to her. You don’t need Mary to get to Jesus. You need Jesus. When religious devotion gives a creature a spiritual role Scripture reserves for God and Christ, it has crossed the line into idolatry.
