Excellent post, agreed. Britain is lost. The special relationship is lost.

When UK released the suspects the day after arrest I knew the UK government was pulling for the terrorist…and I was not surprised at all. The UK is lost

The larger issue here are the nuclear weapons. A compromised Britain invaded by Islamic soldiers make those weapons a very serious security threat to rest of the world.

Can you ask the retired Col. to explain why the USAAF continues to operate out of NINE other UK bases without changing anything? Perhaps he’s not up to speed with current events?

@grok are any of our Five Partners keeping any of their aircraft based on US soil?

.@cdrsalamander points out that we shouldn't put all our European B-1s in the same basket regardless.

True and US air bases have similar vulnerabilities. @RobManess

The thing that everyone is missing here is that one, or possibly more had nuclear weapons on board. That would be the only reason the would scramble out after a security breach.

@RobManess is absolutely correct and it was the prudent thing to do because it was ridiculous to give these people bail. Eventually, if the British people have the will, they are going to have to fight their way out of this situation.

Wake the fuck up Pete. The U.K. is a failed nation. Most of Europe is failing. We cannot base our military or partner with any failed nation, or Islamist nation.

The US needs to seriously reconsider the value of the FVEY relationship. Canada and the UK, under their current governments, are no longer reliable allies.

Yep The British are unreliable. Although America is likely to be able to protect the base and planes, even a remote chance of damaging the base/planes happening would hand Iran a huge PR victory.

I’m willing to bet the US intel community has already kept a lot of intel back from the Five Eyes because we can’t trust the Brits anymore. They are no longer reliable friends and allies.

I worked in a counterintelligence role in London in the 80’s during the Cold War. If anyone would have told me then how far the UK is going to fall I would have laughed at them.

Apparently not. No-one can be detained by police for longer than 36 hours without some evidence of preparation to commit an act of terrorism. Still working for the Pentagon?

But what about the tankers, F35s, and F15s at other urban UK air bases? Is a B1 really that much more valuable than an F35? Or are the F35 shelters judged to be invulnerable to small FOV drones?

And yet while we suddenly evacuated some planes from RAF Fairford, our British bases at Lakenheath and Mildenhall remain unaffected? The British cops, Counter Terrorism [& MI5] released as no threat on bail those men Trump claimed were under US surveillance.

We are living in an “age of moral confusion.” Questions must be asked about what happens when compassion comes at the expense of justice and why morality must come before politics or economics. This is, unfortunately, a global concern.

It's becoming obvious that terrorists influencers have infiltrated your security forces. How long before they get control of your NUCLEAR ARSENAL? Same goes for France!! Just like we can not allow Iran to gain nuclear weapons, WE CAN NOT ALLOW THEM TO ACCESS YOURS!

President Trump is trying to show the entire world. We do not have a “special relationship” with Britain. We are at war with the city of London. We are at war with the bankers. We are at war with the deep state Satan worshipers who use their proxies to kill us. We are at war

It’s unfortunate, but at this point the UK is compromised. We cannot gamble our men, women, and assets on a govt that refuses to secure their own facilities. What scares me is the fact that we don’t know the loyalties of the people in charge of UKs nuclear weapons.

If the guys that were arrested for trying to breach the base perimeter posted memes, they would still be in jail.
