I LOVE FF7's story, even if some its gameplay hasn't aged well for me. I skipped Remake to play the trilogy together, but some scenes I've seen (singing, dancing, Red XIII's voice) have put me off. Am I worrying over nothing, or should I leave my memories of FF7 alone?

Dunno who needs to hear this but calling a Black person a monkey, in any context, is racist. Doubling and then tripling down on it, is undeniably, unambiguously racist. Instead of saying "okay poor word choice" insisting on calling them a monkey, is violently racist.
