This is why CR's don't work, as long as we allow Congress to maintain the budget limits instead of reducing the spending when fraud is found we are cooked. Every dollar must align with a budget line item!

The bond vigilantes will need to impose some fiscal discipline on our profligate spending government with higher interest rates because no one else will.

Name me a Supra-majority Democrat-controlled state NOT on edge of insolvency. This indicates fiscal policy (high taxes, poor service, etc.). Now extrapolate it to national level. Democrats spend like drunken sailors and Republicans aren鈥檛 much better.

Au contraire! The American sheeple are heading for financial hell. How much will such hell affect our political ruling class? It will be hugely less than it affects "we, the people." Will sheeple then vote for other than DRWP candidates? No. It's six weeks until Showtime!

CBO forecasts are useless, since they assume no recessions. A severe recession will spike debt/GDP by a fast 20%. At some point soon the marginal effectiveness of debt will hit zero. Deficits will produce no stimulus. The post-ww2 Debt Supercycle will end and the world changes.

Government debt is just another negative EV game. The math is the math.
