Diesel climbed 160% since 2020. The median paycheck climbed 28.8%.
That spread is what every working ranch is up against right now.
Diesel ran 2.42 a gallon in 2020. Today it runs over 6.
Gasoline went from 2.27 to 4.32. Coffee went from 4.50 a pound to over 9. Auto insurance is up 51%.
Rational Ranchers stacked those increases against six years of income data this week. The gap between what things cost and what people earn is the whole story.
Every one of those numbers hits my operation too. The only lever I have is shortening the distance between my pasture and your freezer.

In late 2023, @loffredojeremy recorded interviews with Israelis in NYC who held a rambunctious pro-Israel protest (for some reason, those who typically claim they don't want foreigners protesting on US soil were silent).
These Israelis called for genocide. Whenever I posted it in response to those claiming it was Palestinians who were violent and extremist, I was told it's unfair to use these interviews because these Israelis were just fringe, aberrational extremists unrepresentative of Israelis as a whole.
All you have to do is look at the new Google Maps images of Gaza to see that they were completely representative of the sick mindset of the Israeli government and the country generally. Israel:🇮🇱
Large parts of the Gaza Strip have been updated on Google Maps.
I've walked through much of the destruction in Gaza myself, but I couldn't bear looking at the map.
Just spend a few mins & you can't. It shows you the Israeli barbarism and terrorism that the world lets happen
