Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature, the assurance that dawn comes after night and spring after winter Rachel Carson

In an age dominated by technology, in which efficiency and profit often take precedence, it is so important that we continue to cultivate a spirit of contemplation and allow time and space for beauty. Such an attitude will greatly help humanity, especially young people, to discover the ability of art to uplift and reveal the depths of the human spirit and our openness to the divine. Contemplation presents a marvelous opportunity to encounter the God who is Beauty.

Brazil and Bolsonaro have no right to the destroy one of the lungs of the Earth as its destruction will impact us all and every living being on a planet already in melt down This is a declaration of war on the entire planet
Lula reduced deforestation in the Amazon by almost 50%. Now all that will be undone and much worse to follow as Flávio Bolsonaro set to wind Presidency People are voting to destroy the Amazon and their own future and that is exactly what they will get theguardian.com/world/2026/o…

Letters in this week’s @CambridgeIndy: £79m to restore nature nationwide. £192m for eight miles of busway through habitat and farmland. The @nationaltrust saves its covenant, not the landscape it was written to protect. Why are we spending more to destroy nature than to save it?

We will not say too much as this ongoing but we are sickened by this case. This is #surrogacy.
A California couple at the center of a surrogacy scandal have been arrested on child abuse charges. Prosecutors called it a "house of horrors,” and say at least 14 children were subjected to repeated abuse. cbsn.ws/3TM27fH

Our Founder @lexington1920 has been quoted in this article in @Telegraph today. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/10…
#surrogacy is illegal in China, and this couple residing in the UK face no criminal punishment here, or abroad but they ✅ bought a baby for £93,000 ✅ chose a male embryo to have a boy (sex selection is illegal in the UK and China) ✅ signed a contract offering a refund if the child was a girl ✅ didn’t provide independent legal advice for the surrogate mother We would guess that the surrogate mother, living in a small rural village is living in poverty and £25,000 is a life changing sum for her and far beyond ‘reasonable expenses’. Having returned home this couple employ a nanny full time and have been granted parental rights by a UK court. thetimes.com/article/2c8eb5d…

"The generation raised on sugar rations – and what their health reveals 70 years later" Its so observable that they are healthier than Gen X who got the first wave of junk processed food. And obviously millenials and gen z who are a mess. theguardian.com/society/2026…

We are grateful to the @Telegraph for quoting our founder and covering the shocking story of a couple pursuing surrogacy in China, and sex selection of embryos. Ban surrogacy now. @TomTelegraph

This is what it has come too, the backbone and heart of the Green Party eviscerated by entryism and cynical ambition @TheGreenParty @CarolineLucas @AdrianRamsay
My husband has been in @TheGreenParty for 45 years & I have been in for nearly 30. Today we cancel our direct debit & leave. The rot started with “Transwomen are women, no debate “. Now it is an anti semitic, pro nuclear power party. Not a Green Party.

If you read the Guardian, support the Guardian, believe the Guardian should hold itself to the standards it expects of others, you need to ask how it could ‘employ’ journalists over years on these terms..& then simply dump them when the law finally catches up with them.
The Guardian has said it will be ending its use of casual staff (who are not formally employed with the paper) and creating roles for “rota shortfall” staff, resulting in a loss of work for up to 315 people

Goodness, so Reform has cleared Dan Jukes and James Orr of breaking party funding laws despite the police investigation. What a surprise. Why do we continue to accept such sleazy corruption ? At some point, its the voters responsibility. theguardian.com/politics/202…

Photo books of @CommunityPlann1’s day of action delivered to all four opposition parties ✅ I am on the train home after meetings in Parliament with (in alphabetical order): - Conservatives, Alex Burghart (and also Bernard Jenkin, who is my MP), who Kemi Badenoch sent to collect the photobook; - Green Party, Adrian Ramsay; - LibDems, Gideon Amos…well, his staffer, as Amos was double-booked. But Gideon will take a photo with our book; - Reform, Danny Krueger. I will post the videos/photos later once I have sorted through them all. Everybody LOVED all your photos, and it was a powerful way of petitioning and getting messages across. So, well done with your events on the day of action. We will deal with Labour once we know if there is going to be a Leadership election. We have asked several times for a meeting with Reed/Pennycook.

This is really bad for the Amazon—its Indigenous land defenders, its ecology. We’re getting close to the whole rainforest tipping into a savannah equilibrium;—brutal for climate. These are years of incredibly high-stakes struggle between life & fascism.

A Bolsonaro win — aided by Trump and Big Tech billionaires — will be the likely end of the Amazon, the lungs of the earth. If you have young kids, you are watching them get locked into an extremely dangerous future. You’re not mad enough at the fascists and their collaborators.
