At the #FBI, partnership is the foundation of public safety. #FBIWFO coordinates with dozens of federal and local partners every day to protect the nation's capital. We provide operational support and technical expertise — and the results are historic. Together with our D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force partners, we executed over 1,700 arrests, more than 560 drug seizures, and over 330 firearm recoveries this summer — contributing to a 30% drop in homicides and a 48% decrease in carjackings. We also worked with our partners to secure major events celebrating America's semiquincentennial. Our agents and analysts shared intelligence to mitigate threats, including a planned attack targeting the UFC Freedom 250, while our bomb techs, crisis negotiators, divers, counter-drone operators, and other National Capital Response Squad members maintained a state of readiness to disrupt threats. From day‑to‑day operations to historic celebrations, we're building a safer capital together.
