Common sense from @KemiBadenoch, a leader who gets Scotland and stands up for our place in the Union. A well deserved shout out to @DLumsden_MP and @RussellFindlay1 after campaigning tirelessly to champion our oil and gas industry and the jobs it supports, the Tories are back!

Out talking to voters ahead of next week’s by-election in Aberdeen. Just like the fantastic @ScotTories win in Stirling it is only @FreddieJohnAbdn that can stop the SNP

So you stood as a candidate in 2022 as a Conservative and got rejected to stand for the Conservatives in 2025 and defected to Reform the same year after the policy was already changed? As you'll be aware Richard Tice backed the EPL, Andrew Bowie on the other hand attacked it.
You know that when they attack the man rather than the ball that you have gotten under their skin! I worked in the Oil & Gas industry as a Senior Economist till May this year, starting my oil & gas career working offshore in the 90's as an engineer. The only MSP to have worked in the industry. One of the few to have worked in any industry. As such, I remain extremely angry that the Tories: - Brought in the Net Zero laws which are used to block projects like Jackdaw & Rosebank - Got rid of Max economic recovery (MER UK) as the long-standing national strategy for the industry - Replaced an Oil focused regulator with a "Transition Authority" focused on the end of the industry - And of course, introduced the EPL at a rate of 75% in May 2022 They killed investment, killed activity and killed jobs. The truth hurts. But the Tories need to own their shameful record that damaged our industry so badly.

Brilliant to visit The Nook by SAMH in Aberdeen this week - a free, walk-in mental health hub providing immediate support for those who are struggling. We're lucky to have such a fantastic service in our city. The Nook is open to everyone, 7 days a week in Marischal Square.

There have been over 1,000 drugs deaths in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire since 2010 – and almost 100 in just the last year. SNP have completely failed to tackle this disgraceful epidemic.

Remember that, less than a year ago, the SNP and Greens voted AGAINST the Right to Recovery Bill @Douglas4Moray and the @ScotTories brought before Parliament, blocking it at Stage 1 and making no effort to improve it.

What do Reform’s MSPs think they achieve by walking out? Every empty seat makes life easier for the SNP. I was elected to confront SNP incompetence and force ministers to answer for it. You cannot do that from the corridor. Stop the theatrics and do the job you were elected to do.

Aberdeen already houses more asylum seekers than anywhere else in Scotland, except Glasgow. These plans will just make it even harder for local people to access the public services they need. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c617…

We had our right to decide. We chose the UK. Why is it that unionists are constantly told their votes are less valid? If the 2014 referendum had ended with independence, does anyone really think the nationalists would be questioning whether or not we’d had a chance to choose? 🥀 If Scottish Labour want to cosy up to the SNP that’s their call, but the @Conservatives will always proudly believe in and defend Scotland's place in the UK.

🚨NEW REPORT shows 25,000 oil and gas jobs have been lost since Labour came to power. @andyburnham needs to approve new drilling now.
Labour and the SNP’s hostility to North Sea oil and gas is costing thousands of jobs. How many more workers have to pay the price before they see sense and back our plan to get Britain drilling?

Aberdeen has already taken more than it's fair share of asylum seekers, now the Home Office plan to house a further 149 in the city. I have written to the minister objecting to the plans 👇

✈️ We all want cleaner aviation. Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) has a role to play in getting there. But green policy has to work in the real world. If the SAF needed to meet government rules simply isn’t available, is forcing suppliers to pay penalties really cutting emissions, or just pushing up the cost of flying for families and businesses? 💷 Mandates need to be grounded in reality. Ministers need an answer. Via @ojngill in @TheTimes —> thetimes.com/business/energy…
