That 2007-2013 Man Utd squad is probably the most fearsome iteration of all of Fergie’s squads. Sir Alex Ferguson adapted every time through different eras. Once the Premier League came into being, Man Utd went all in. Between 2001 and 2006, United won just one league title only to win four of the next five that followed. They had the right international mix and body of work. Played all manners of nationalities while keeping a solid spine. There was the Serbian centre back, the Bulgarian centre forward, the odd attacker from Senegal, the Angolan CF signing who never became. Funny signings like Bebe too. They won five league titles in seven seasons. Made three UCL finals in that period and won it once. Unarguably one of the greatest Premier League teams of any era. And they didn’t do it with 115. Sorry, 114.

Sean Dyche has nailed the contrast between his time at Burnley and Kompany’s. Nothing about Kompany’s spell there justified a Bayern Munich job; if anything, it should have kept him out of football management. I have to say, Dyche is absolutely spot on. Sean Dyche has always been able to get remarkable results on a shoestring budget. I’d have loved to see what he could have done with a cheque book like Pep’s or at a big spender like Chelsea.

🚨Portugal kept Rui Pinto (@RuiPinto_FL) in the dark for 83 days after deciding to end his protected-witness status, then gave the Manchester City whistleblower just 10 days to find somewhere safe to live and support himself. Now, under mounting pressure, authorities are reviewing the decision. So why did they wait almost three months to tell him? Story with @ed_aarons for @guardian theguardian.com/football/202…

Using net spend for a team that illegally bought valuable players is such a flawed point. Of course they sold well 🤦‍♂️

“Man City just spent the same as the red cartel anyway” Errr, no. For 16 seasons 09/10-24/25, City spent vastly more on wages & fees in real terms. 13% more than Man Utd/Chelsea 43% more than Liverpool 56% more than Arsenal Already had the most expensive squad in 08/09 too.

SEAN DYCHE: “I spent about £9m in 2014 with Burnley and we went down on 33 points. Kompany got 24 points after spending £127m, and he got the Bayern job. “Come on, I don’t know how that works. I wish I was doing it. I wish I’d left the club £127m in debt and got the Bayern job.”

🚨 BREAKING: THE GULF LOBBY MONEY TRAIL BANKROLLING ANDY BURNHAM RETURN TO WESTMINSTER! Follow the cash through Whitehall, and the dark web of foreign influence behind Andy Burnham becomes undeniable. Former Home Secretary Lord David Blunkett funneled thousands of pounds into Burnham Makerfield by election campaign, and on the very day Burnham won, even more money was registered through Greater Manchester donations. At the exact same time, Blunkett sits directly on the board of the United Arab Emirates All Party Parliamentary Group, an elite Westminster club established to cosy up to Abu Dhabi. Burnham can pretend this is harmless party fundraising, but the facts reveal an unelected Prime Minister whose political comeback was bankrolled by a man embedded inside an Emirati influence network. This financial link drops at the exact moment Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy is caught stalling the publication of an official report into the UAE bid to buy The Telegraph. Whose interests is Andy Burnham actually serving when the cash propping up his career originates from a Gulf lobbying operation? Repost this immediately to expose the foreign influence network operating inside the heart of Downing Street.

Hannah Spencer should resign her seat. There is now footage of her campaign coordinator claiming mosques supported her campaign “under cover” during the Gorton & Denton by-election. If that amounted to unlawful political activity by registered charities, this cannot simply be brushed aside. Cheating or improper interference during a by-election is a direct threat to our democracy, no matter how big or small. We cannot allow the rot to set in. Hannah Spencer should resign and there should be another Gorton & Denton by-election.
🚨 BREAKING: GREEN PARTY CAUGHT CHEATING AS CAMPAIGN CHIEF ADMITS SECRET MOSQUE ENDORSEMENTS!!!!!!!! The Green Party pretends to hold the moral high ground, but behind closed doors they rely on illegal sectarian stitch ups. Hannah Spencer campaign manager just admitted that local mosques secretly endorsed the Green candidate, directly violating strict charity laws. They broke electoral regulations, abused tax exempt charity status, and cheated their way through the ballot box! Retweet this right now to expose the corrupt reality of the Green Party to the entire country. 🇬🇧🔥

If FFP/SCR rules were in place in 04/05 Simon Jordan would have been forced to maintain a wage to revenue ratio of 85% when Crystal Palace were relegated to the Championship. Their wage to revenue ratio was 129% when they were forced into administration in 2010. Food for thought!
