BREAKING NEWS Liberal MPs on the Government Operations Committee just voted to block an investigation into how a man accused by CSIS of helping Iran's military and the IRGC kept receiving Canadian government contracts. CSIS alleged Mohammad Reza Ghafouri Fard participated in procurement activities that benefited the Iranian military and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. He had been flagged for national security reasons as early as 2017. CSIS sent its security report to immigration officials in 2023. Yet his companies kept receiving Canadian tax dollars including from the Department of National Defence. Conservatives asked for ONE committee meeting to investigate how this was allowed to happen. The Liberals shut down debate. What are the Liberals trying to hide?

The warning signs were there, but the Liberals dismissed these concerns while Conservatives on the health committee demanded answers. Canadians deserve to know why Mark Carney's Health Minister failed to take this seriously before it got to this point.

BREAKING NEWS The taxpayer-funded CEO in charge of the $300 MILLION PrescribeIT failure is suing for $3 MILLION in damages after he was fired. Buried in his lawsuit is an explosive allegation. Michael Green claims his firing "was timed in order to prevent his further testimony" before the House of Commons Health Committee. This is wild. In May, Mark Carney's Health Minister said in the House of Commons, "...the CEO of Infoway's behaviour was unacceptable. I spoke to the board of directors, and they took the necessary steps." What were those 'necessary steps'? Did the Liberal Health Minister instruct Infoway's board to fire the PrescribeIT CEO to prevent him from testifying at the health committee? Stay tuned.

BOMBSHELL EVIDENCE The taxpayer-funded CEO in charge of the $300 MILLION PrescribeIT failure, received a secret severance package after he was fired. The Liberals handed Canada Health Infoway $300 MILLION for PrescribeIT before it was shut down. In May, I asked Infoway Chair Peter Vaughan whether former CEO Michael Green was getting a severance package given his role in the PrescribeIT scandal. He testified at the health committee that it was "currently in discussion." There was one big problem with that statement though... In April, Peter Vaughan had already personally signed off on Michael Green’s MASSIVE severance package. Documents obtained by the health committee through a production order reveal that the CEO responsible for overseeing the $300 MILLION PrescribeIT scandal was given: A full year of salary and benefits. Months of pension and RRSP contributions. Months of a car allowance. Vacation pay. AND MORE PERFORMANCE PAY! Yes. MORE PERFORMANCE PAY. Michael Green had already received a $200,000+ “performance” bonus while overseeing the PrescribeIT failure. In fact, Conservatives uncovered that Green was receiving annual compensation of nearly $900,000 a year after he refused to tell the health committee how much he was being paid for PrescribeIT. Despite this his termination letter says he remained eligible for another bonus payment for 2025-26 AND for 2026-27 at a target rate of 21% of his salary. You can’t make this stuff up. Canada Health Infoway has become an unaccountable organization where insiders get rich while taxpayers are left paying the bill. Dr. Vaughan should explain why he mislead a parliamentary committee. Michael Green should be investigated over his role in the $300 MILLION PrescribeIT scandal. And Canada Health Infoway should be defunded before more money is wasted.

Mark Carney's Health Minister turned a blind eye while her department found foreign drugmaker, Grifols, non-compliant with federal blood regulations. Now we’re learning what inspectors found. Donors with bruised and punctured arms were allowed to give plasma without proper medical assessments. Additionally, a donor who disclosed sexual contact with someone who had HIV was allowed to donate twice after a Grifols staff member changed the donor’s answer from “yes” to “no.” Mark Carney's Health Minister neglected all of this for months. BREAKING Conservatives have obtained evidence that the Chair of Canada Health Infoway lied to the health committee during our investigation into the $300 MILLION PrescribeIT scandal. Canada Health Infoway is the so-called 'non-profit' organization the Liberals paid $300 MILLION to deliver the failed PrescribeIT program. Days after we exposed that Infoway CEO, Michael Green, was paid a nearly $900,000 salary, he was fired by the board. This shielded him from testifying at committee despite a summons. Instead, Canada Health Infoway Chair, Peter Vaughan, testified at the committee on May 6, 2026. I asked him whether Infoway would be awarding Michael Green a severance package after the $300 MILLION PrescribeIT scandal was exposed. BREAKING NEWS After more than a year of Conservatives investigating foreign drugmaker Grifols at the Health Committee, Grifols is now pausing plasma collection at all of its Canadian donation centres. The Globe and Mail reports that Health Canada has issued Grifols a formal notice of non-compliance with Canada’s blood regulations. Conservatives on the Health Committee repeatedly pushed for answers about Grifols, the deaths of plasma donors, neglect from the Health Minister, and the secret agreement with Canadian Blood Services. At every turn, Liberal members of the Health Committee tried to shut down any investigation and Mark Carney’s Health Minister refused to testify and answer questions. The Liberals acted like there was nothing to see, claiming Conservatives were ‘misleading’ Canadians. Now Health Canada has formally found Grifols non-compliant and the company has paused plasma collection across Canada. Conservatives kept investigating when the Liberals wanted us to stop asking questions. This is why a strong opposition and parliamentary scrutiny matters.

I was saddened to learn of the passing of Senator Todd Lewis. I had the privilege of working with Todd during my time with Keystone Agricultural Producers and saw firsthand his dedication to Canadian agriculture. Todd was an advocate for farmers and a respected voice for agriculture. He was taken from us too soon. My sincere condolences go out to Todd’s family, friends and all those who knew him.

The Liberals claimed their $2+ billion Canada Post bailout was only for "non-discretionary obligations." So why did Canada Post hand out $30.8 MILLION in management bonuses while running a $1.57 BILLION deficit? Since when are bonuses a "non-discretionary obligation"...? Taxpayers are being forced to pay for failure while Canada Post management rewards it.

I’ve been informed by opposition members of the Government Operations committee that they are calling for an urgent investigation into the details of the Gordie Howe Bridge deal and the misinformation provided to Canadians about it. As their Chair, I will convene a meeting on Wednesday, July 29 to allow the committee to get to the bottom of the matter.
