A scandal has erupted in the UK over a former Islamic State fighter spotted shopping near Windsor Castle. The controversy involves 35-year-old Iraqi citizen Mohammed Rafea, who joined ISIS in 2014. He participated in the group's activities and served as an armed guard during public executions. The jihadist also organized attacks using improvised explosive devices. In 2015, Yasin moved to Germany, where he applied for asylum and worked as a hairdresser. In 2018, the Islamist was detained, and two years later, a court in Dรผsseldorf sentenced the jihadist to 4.5 years in prison for membership in a foreign terrorist organization. However, the court acquitted him of charges of complicity in murder, which was classified as a war crime. After serving his sentence, German authorities attempted to deport Yasin to Iraq, but the process was halted due to fears that he might face torture and execution in his home country. In December 2025, Yasin crossed the English Channel in a small boat and arrived in the UK. According to British media, he used fake personal details when registering. He was detained after his true identity was established, after which a court in Winchester sentenced him to two years in prison for illegal entry into the country. After his release, Yasin was placed in a hostel in Windsor and required to wear an electronic bracelet. He subsequently resubmitted an application requesting permission to remain in the UK, which complicated the Ministry of the Interior's attempts to organize his deportation. Following media attention, Yasin was re-detained due to an alleged violation of his release conditions. BUT the problem is that there are thousands of people like him there. BUT that is not even the main issue, it is only half the problem. The real problem is that millions of migrants who were not in terrorist organizations, and even the children of migrants, are by their mentality exactly the same jihadists - fanatics, killers, rioters. It no longer matters that not all migrants are like this, or even that not all Muslim migrants are like this. The percentage of Islamists and simply wild barbarians is so high among Muslim and wild African migrants that there is not the slightest chance of a peaceful resolution to the problem.

Another diplomatic achievement: Israel joins the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) as a Forum Partner. The Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum, Baron Divavesi Waqa, has informed me that Israel has been accepted as a Forum Partner, following a decision at the meeting of the Forumโ€™s member state leaders in Palau. This follows my visit to Fiji in June, where I met with the Secretary General and presented Israelโ€™s request to join the Forum. Strengthening ties with the Pacific Island nations is one of my objectives. Earlier this year, I opened Israelโ€™s Embassy in Fiji, which also serves nine other Pacific Island nations, all friendly to Israel. Under the current government, three of these countries, Papua New Guinea, Fiji and Nauru, have opened embassies in Jerusalem. As a Forum Partner, Israel will participate in a framework for cooperation in areas of mutual interest, based on regional priorities and Israelโ€™s expertise in water management, desalination, agriculture, tackling climate change, innovation and sustainable development. Israel and the Forum will also develop a joint action plan setting out practical areas of cooperation and a mechanism to monitor progress.
