Colorado can rank near the top and still leave most kids below grade level. That is the problem. Charters and homeschool families already prove parents will choose what works. Every child in a public classroom deserves that same standard.
I will fight for curriculum quality, grade-level literacy, and parents in the loop. Public, charter, private, or home. Raise the bar. Do not lower it.
Remember who actually cares about our kids and their education when you vote in November.

Grateful to receive the endorsement of the Colorado Association of Professional Sureties.
This one is personal. After the hit-and-run that left my stepdaughter Carissa with a permanent brain injury, the driver was released on a $500 bond. That is not justice. That is a system that treats a life-altering crime like a parking ticket.
CAPS stands for accountability and the idea that bail should mean something. So do I. I will fight for victim-centered reform so Colorado prioritizes justice for victims.

Where was Scheels when SB25-003 was breathing down our necks? They were awfully silent while smaller FFLs started fleeing the state or going out of business… 🤔
Big corporate cronyism in a small town Colorado! Scheel’s can’t beat small business on price. They get tax breaks from their buddies in Littleton City Hall.
The deal works like this Scheels collects city sales tax like everyone else. Then the city refunds most of its share:
• Scheels gets ~55% back
• Developer gets ~5% (until $25 million)
• City keeps 40%
For 30 years. Small businesses next door get no rebate. $16/Hour jobs and all the cash goes to Scheel’s corporate office in North Dakota.
The Citizens of Littleton get traffic, big parking lots and shitty chinese coolers and fishing rods, the City collects no taxes while Scheels undercuts prices for small business.
And this is considered progress in Colorado. Its cronyism at its finest. #littleton #colorado #copolitics

Kids walked out of class Friday across the state to protest ICE and Flock cameras. One of the Denver walkouts got incredibly violent and out of control.
Denver police said it was unpermitted and had no safety plan. They logged five assaults. Three people went to the hospital. You can see why in the video. A young woman punched and her hair ripped out (@MissyMurdrem2) . Metal water bottles flying at property, vehicles, and bystanders. People getting shoved to the ground and kicked while their belongings were stolen from them (@BreakTheChainsM).
Adults built this. Student groups and activist groups called the walkout (including the Denver Communists, the Brown Berets, Chinga la Migra, and the Black Bloc). Elected officials showed up (looking at you, @MelatKirosCO). An organizer EMT on scene admitted it had gotten out of control. Children were in the middle of it.
That is not civic education. That is using kids as a backdrop for a fight they did not start and cannot finish. Leave them in class. Leave them out of the street brawl. Parents, not a park rally, raise the child. Teachers are supposed to educate them. Not support whatever yesterday was.
