Yesterday, I came across a friend's post where he talked about appreciating the hiring managers and employers who gave you a chance when you had zero experience. He added that without people like that, most people would keep getting rejected for “no experience” and end up settling for crumbs. That post inspired me to write this. You see, skill alone will not land you your next role. You also need experience. I remember sometime in February, I was working with a team, and the core team needed a motion designer. I was asked to recommend someone. Fortunately, I knew someone in my circle. The guy was really good at what he does, but there was one problem: he had no experience. By experience, I mean proof of work. The core team shared samples of the kind of work they wanted and asked me to send similar projects he had done for other brands. The truth was, he didn't have any. That didn't mean he wasn't skilled. He was. But brands want to see proof that you've done it before. They want confidence that you can deliver because you've already delivered. And this isn't just about motion design. It cuts across almost every role, whether you're a static or motion designer, community manager, marketing manager, developer, business development manager, or any other professional. Looking back, one of the defining moments in my career was choosing to chase experience in the Web3 space while many others were focused on trending narratives and short-term opportunities. That decision led me to work as a Regional Community Growth Manager at Babylonlabs and Lava Network, while also building Bitcoin Renaissance Africa. Those experiences challenged me. I had conversations with founders and partners from different backgrounds. I developed content marketing plans, negotiated with core teams, planned and executed community campaigns and programs, crafted X Space topics with meaningful discussion guides, and constantly looked for new marketing and outreach opportunities to grow project reach and products. It was demanding, but those experiences laid the foundation for the community growth and marketing skills I rely on today. Community growth and marketing isn't a title you wake up with. It's a skill built through experience, consistency, countless conversations, and continuous outreach. Every idea, every content plan, every meeting, every event, every campaign, and every partnership adds another layer to your growth. #web3 #Community #Growth #Marketing #crypto

The internet is Alt + F4-ing itself Being born right at the turn of the century in 2000 let me try @YouTube for the first time when I was 7 years old. @Snapchat a few years later. The first iPod, socials, @facebook before most even knew what social media was. But it's changing:

If you want to train the most frontier, complex and capable models, you need superior data. Data is becoming more rare, more specialized, more difficult to find. Even if you build a very accurate AI model, that doesn't solve the problem if the data used to train it was collected improperly or its origins can't be verified. Even small percentages of low‑quality data can have outsized effects. Just a few poor results could undermine decision-making and trust in the technology overall, leading executives or users to conclude that an AI tool is defective when the root cause lies in the quality of the data informing it. AI developers are moving beyond basic labeling and are looking for specialized, higher-quality and domain-specific data. This is why the work by @oortech stands out for me. OORT team works with its community of human experts to create and validate datasets. Here is how it works: High demand data tasks are uploaded, the community contributes by submitting the required datasets, these contributions are verified and validated by the a team of experts before approval. Community contributions that gets approved gets monthly reward. This is the Flywheel of OORT'S DataHub Try it out today, Join DataHub using my referral code: 3N2H0ATY datahub.oortech.com/register…

Yesterday while this post was made, I was overwhelmed with calls and messages from friends, alumni and community members who appreciated what we have achieved with Web3bridge and were also concerned that we are closing up. It was a beautiful moment reading comments and hearing people tell us the impact of the work we have done in the last 7years. May 2025, we had a meeting in the office to critical assess the state of the ecosystem and how well we will position ourself cos it at the time it was glaring that a change was coming. Over the last 3months, we became more critical about what comes next and we began consulting and bouncing off the ideas. We have and still speaking with a list of partners, mentors, infrastructure providers, those in the investment circle (VCs, angels, accelerators) both in the continent and outside. Starting Web3bridge didn't come with as much fear I had since we began the journey to pivot into the founder direction (took a whole time before selling the vision to the team). We are ready to take this new path and we will be open to walk the path with you! Yes you; startup founder (in and out of blockchain), resource persons, infrastructure provider/those who's business is dependent on other founders and those who scout or write checks. Reach out, let's journey together
We are sad to announce that Web3Bridge has closed up shop. For the past seven years, Web3Bridge has dedicated itself to training developers from different parts of Africa. It has been an incredible journey for all of us. We have watched people walk through our doors with little more than curiosity and leave as developers, builders, founders and contributors to an ecosystem that was still finding its feet. But over the years, we have also seen something else. We have seen the ecosystem change. We have seen the needs of our community change. And we have had to ask ourselves a very important question: Is training developers enough anymore? So, as we cross into our seventh year, we have decided to….. stay tuned.

Very happy to see people who have worked very hard win. MrNetwork is my Gee from way back 2023. Connected with him on this space while we both worked at Babylonlabs. He's been of huge support everytime i reach out. Very excited for him as this new chapter unfold. Congratulations, brother. It's only up from here.
A new chapter begins. 🇮🇹🇪🇺 I have officially started my Master’s degree in Computer Science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence, in Italy, Europe. from graduating with First Class Honours (BSc) in Computer Science, to taking my skills beyond the classroom and becoming an 11x hackathon winner (~$17,000), my journey so far has been shaped by one thing: a constant desire to understand technology deeply and build things that solve real problems. this MSc is the next step in that journey. I want to go beyond simply knowing how to make systems work and develop a deeper understanding of why they work, how they learn, how they scale, where they fail, and how we can engineer them better. I will be diving deeper into Artificial Intelligence, intelligent systems, research and advanced computer science, while continuing to build and ship products outside the classroom. I am particularly excited about bridging both worlds;taking the theoretical and research foundations from academia and combining them with the speed, experimentation and real-world engineering experience i have gained from building and competing in hackathons. the goal is bigger than becoming a better coder. it’s about becoming a stronger computer scientist, AI engineer, researcher and builder capable of tackling increasingly complex problems. new country. new environment. bigger challenges. still building. 🇮🇹 the MSc journey begins.

Following the Midnight Foundation's recent wind-down of its developer relations team, my time at Midnight has come to an end. I built the developer education and AI developer tools, a dozen-video series explaining how ZKP and network implementation, a certification academy, and an MCP server downloaded 10,000+ times. Some of my favourite moments were the conversations, from fireside chats with builders to the hours spent alongside partner teams shipping on the network. Thank you to the team, the developer community, and every partner I worked with. Before Midnight, I spent over two years at Axelar working hands-on with partner teams building cross-chain applications. I designed their integrations, reviewed their code, and wrote the reference implementation developers used to send messages between blockchains. Before developer relations, I spent over four years as a backend engineer, building systems serving tens of thousands of users, data pipelines, and enterprise software for banks and telecoms. I also founded Web3 Afrika, a community of builders. That engineering background is what I bring to developer relations: I can sit with a team, read their code, and help them ship to production. Now I'm looking for my next role in developer relations, forward-deployed engineering, developer experience, developer support, solutions engineering, or AI engineering. I'm based in UK with a UK Global Talent visa, so no sponsorship is needed in the UK, and I'm open to remote or hybrid. Available now. If your team is hiring, or you know one that is, I'd love to hear from you. An intro or a repost would mean a lot. Portfolio and CV in the reply, kindly help RT
