Tektronix used to have a large campus with privately-owned roads near Beaverton Oregon.
Local law said if the roads were unrestricted for one calendar year, the private roads could be annexed by the city.
So every January 1st, Tektronix hired guards to block the roads.
My Dad (who worked there) said they did it to celebrate my Mom’s birthday 😂

I wrote a server-side Swift reimplementation of the server for the historic Internet game Netrek (including IPv6 support). But I haven’t maintained it (or anything) for half a decade.
I loved optionals and protocols. But complex use of attributes and property wrappers gradually hurt my ability to read and understand code. My old brain is full. 😢

My wife still has her original iPad to play a silly circle game.
I made a similar game, and released it in the App Store (about $50 total revenue! 😂). But the original one, unmaintained for a decade, has more “flair” so is more fun. (I’m not strong in aesthetics)

This was my favorite crimper. It’s less than 7” long so TSA allows it in carryons. It also has the 568B color “cheat sheet” which helps since I crimped infrequently.
