Ha! A second day and 5 more years while my wife and I got our degrees (for free) from the college. I would eventually rise to be his second-in-command. The Director is now one of my oldest friends and he helped me first find a “cop job” and then to achieve my current career as this guy (but not really). When I leave Pakistan in a couple of years, he has made me promise to be his first mate and we’re going to sail down the east coast to the Caribbean (if I don’t take his old job as a post-career retirement gig!).

Oh, sweetheart. My hippie Sociology degree is taking care of me quite nicely, thankyouverymuch. I speak 5 languages. I have lived in countries all over the world and have traveled to dozens upon dozens more. I sometimes bring back antique Land Rover Defenders. I’m debating between Thailand and Iceland for my next trip. The closest you got to an insult was my salary. $100k/year was WELL over a decade ago. It’d absolutely ruin your day knowing how much I made last year. Oh, and I didn’t say I was ICE. I just wholeheartedly support them and their mission: reestablishing the Law of the Land and restoring America.

RFK Jr. nor the current HHS prevented me from getting the measles vaccine 50 years ago. Are you saying they traveled back in time to stop the adults who are sick from getting theirs?

Statistically speaking the “Trumpys” are getting it right and the “doctors” being interviewed are either lying or, FAR more likely, @ABC is, again, loading the story with deliberately misleading terms (e.g., “measles-related deaths” instead of “deaths directly from measles”, like the terminally ill cancer patients and gun shot victims who were added to the “COVID-related deaths” that were used to implement wholly unnecessary and ineffective policies). 2 deaths (even if we disregard they were deaths of people who only ALSO had measles) out of *13,000,000* is not a news story. It’s a product @ABC is hoping will be bought by people who can use the term “Trumpy” with a straight face and who will not critically scrutinize the obviously compromised journalism. (Unless YOU are afraid of a disease with a .00001% mortality rate.) Hey, here’s a bit of trivia. Did you know America still has incidences of plague? Here’s a map of where those cases were reported in recent years. Weird that they’re almost all along our southwestern border, right?

Not to hijack your discussion but, I’d like to offer a few points: I know we live our “MoTabs” and “RMs” and other abbreviations but “Exmo” has such a judgy slur vibe to it. This discussion is generating some very kind and compassionate comments that don’t really “jive” with what appears, on face value, to be name-calling. If we have been admonished to no longer identify ourselves as “Mormon”, because it lacks the dignity in being a member of the Church, wouldn’t referring to someone as an “ExMormon” run afoul of this? It then even seems to add a double negative connotation to it. I like how the U.S. Marine Corps treats their community membership. You are never referred to as an “Ex-Marine”. Once you have joined their ranks, you are always respected for that and are simply a “former Marine”. While we respect someone’s decision to not be associated with us, it seems the truer spirit would be to continue to consider them still Brothers and Sisters, even if they choose to be former Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

That was literally the argument that the OP was making. Did you not read the post? It is not “incorrect”. It was accurate for navigating between countries, the literal function of all maps when the first maps were drawn (by men from tiny little countries) to navigate the globe while most of Africa were sharpening rocks. But even so, only undeveloped and underdeveloped minds would argue size of a country is more important than accomplishment. Some of the smallest nations (the English, the Portuguese, Icelandic Vikings, the different counties of the Americas) absolutely DOMINATED the globe throughout history. No intellect is worried or upset that the UN is (once again) patronizing third world countries with the quiet racism of low expectations. This is just the newest “shiny bobble”.
