YouTube often tells you to private/unlist your videos before making them public so YouTube can conduct their guidelines checks. This YouTuber did so, and instead of letting her fix the mistake or remove the video, they banned her entire channel…

hi @TeamYouTube @YouTube I uploaded a video today as unlisted, and when it was reviewed it got flagged as a guideline violation but my entire channel was taken down, instead of letting me remove the video. my appeal for this was denied almost instantly can anything else be done?

A/B testing thumbnails and titles, that's understandable, but A/B testing VIDEOS?? This is not a good update from YouTube.
When this goes live, we could all click the same video and end up watching completely different versions of the video. Not a fan of this at all
🚨 Huge update: YouTube just announced video AB testing, thumbnail generation & more.
I’m here in the YouTube offices in New York… and they’ve just made their biggest update in years.
Here’s the 3 changes I am most excited about + my take as a strategist running some of the biggest channels on youtube:
1. Video AB testing
YouTube is going to allow you to upload three different versions of a video now (starting with shorts and then rolling out to more) and test them over a period to see which gets the best watch time.
My take: I am so excited by this and it feels like something we’ve all wanted for years. How often are you stuck between two different intros, or two different ways of ending a video?
Now having the ability to get real data back is insane. I am going to heavily use this with intros.
2. Dynamic thumbnail testing for different audiences
YouTube will now actually dynamically test different thumbnails with different audience segments. Allowing you to have different packaging for your returning viewers vs casual/new.
My take: This is very interesting. Current AB testing for thumbnails essentially helps you find the best thumbnail for the biggest majority of your viewers… but that isn’t the best thumbnail for every segment.
A core viewer might click on something very different to a brand new viewer. I think this will allow creators to print more views and test new styles that previously might have never won in the test.
3. Thumbnail generation in YouTube studio
Directly in your studio you will have an ‘ask studio packaging assistant’ that can analyze your video and past performance and generate thumbnails (and titles) for your video.
My take: This one’s been coming. The interesting thing for me is that when presenting this, youtube said something very interesting: they will match your style.
This is the hardest step when using most Ai thumbnail generators, so if they can pull this off… could change the game.
Really excited to see how these new features work.
Youtube shared that they will be tested and rolled out in the coming months.

Hey everyone, I just want to be transparent. I privated my latest video. In that video, I showed proof that Mighty Mike Plays' dad Dave was the CEO of a marketing company, and I was pointing out inconsistencies in the story he told. Although I did censor his address, I did mention the websites where that information can be found. Despite how we feel about Dave, he is a father and a husband, and I want to make sure he and his family don't get harassed. No I am not being forced to say this, I just felt extremely guilty after uploading the video. I hope you all understand. Thank you for everything ❤️

Mighty Mike Plays just changed the title of his new video to include "but this one is dave playing." Keep in mind, this is happening in the late morning/early afternoon on a Wednesday, meaning the 9 year old kid is most likely at school
So... his dad is posing as him lol

It looks like Mighty Mike Plays’ dad Dave is doubling down on suing YouTubers who have called his situation a scam
When his vid came out, I ended up buying a shirt in the heat of the moment, (yes, I'm super gullible💀) but then immediately saw all the red flags and emailed to ask to cancel it. To my surprise he did, but also wrote to say he's gonna sue people lol? What an odd scam😭
