Maud, being White and outspoken, was viciously taunted and a target of cancel culture. But she did right by her children, and stuck to her “true ideal”. 🚨Big ABA Update: In a somewhat shocking turn of events, after more than seven hours of debate, NACIQI was unable to come to a decision on the ABA. They passed a resolution explaining their deadlock. It now goes to Under Secretary Kent for a final decision on their renewal of recognition. Reminder, the department staff report recommended to DENY recognition previously.

Today, the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity (NACIQI) met to review renewal applications for six accrediting agencies, including the American Bar Association (ABA). Defending Ed has documented the ABA's political bias. Our AccreditED report highlighted two ABA standards and Goal III that promoted DEI in law schools. While the standards were repealed, Goal III—which produced them—remains intact. Defending Ed recommends against renewing the ABA’s authority as an accrediting body.
