My first one was home etched. I made a PCB to fit in an old Dreamcast controller to control a robot in college. It’s total garbage, but try something similar!

My minimal Kubernetes / Linux 7.1.8 build has officially hit v0.2.0. It's got:
- UEFI/UKI
- Custom Linux 7.1.8
- Custom initramfs
- Immutable SquashFS root
- Persistent /var
- Custom PID1
- Supervised containerd/kubelet
- Cilium
- A healthy Kubernetes worker!
I have to figure out a good way to share this with you guys. I'll stress test it and robustify and all that down the road.

Proof of concept is done - minimal Kubernetes 7.1.8 build runs BusyBox! Now to harden it and make it more product-y.

You don’t need much to get started in homelabbing and Kubernetes.

All parked in the shop connected to my home network. All old systems I had lying around. I currently have the Lenovo running Proxmox, and the two Apples are my K8s cluster.
Just scrounge up what you have and get to it!
