While e-scooters & e-bikes are sharing our roads, I hear from residents in #RichmondHill loud and clear- concerns about unsafe micromobility use. Concerns include e-scooter use by children under 16, at sidewalk & park, excessive speeds, & other infractions of the City Bylaw. Parents & school can play a role to help tackle the issue. The City reaches out to @YRDSB @YCDSB in collaboration with @YRP to coordinate education & enforcement efforts. The events of September 11, 2001, remain etched in memory. Twenty five years ago, I watched in shock at First Canadian Place in Toronto, where the TV showed planes crashing into the World Trade Centre towers. The thorough evacuation of downtown Toronto underscored the gravity of the situation. Let’s pray and remember the civilians who tragically lost their lives, the first responders who demonstrated extraordinary bravery, the victims aboard the four planes, & the personnel at the U.S. Pentagon. May their memories endure, and such devastation never happen again. @TheHillTimes @nytimes @Canada @usconstoronto @RHFES @RHPFFA @yrp @YorkRegion #EMS @TorontoStar @1059TheRegion #911 #tragedy #pentagon @NYCCouncil @_WTCOfficial #bravery #memory #NeverAgain #peace #airplane

On the World Day against Trafficking in Person, I extend gratitude to @YRP for their exceptional efforts in safeguarding victims & collaborating with community organizations to support those in need. The 2026 theme, 'Trapped Behind the Scam,' highlights a rapidly expanding form of human trafficking where transnational organized crime groups exploit individuals to perpetrate industrial-scale financial fraud.
