Yesterday, we were pleased to gather with fellow association presidents and executives from across Ontario. It was a valuable opportunity to connect, share perspectives, and hear directly about the issues impacting our members and Ontario's policing community.
The PAO Board of Directors was proud to meet with over 25 association presidents and executives from across Ontario in St. Catharines, united by our shared commitment to the 33,000 members we serve. This gathering was an important opportunity to hear directly from local leaders about the issues facing their members and to ensure their voices shape our collective priorities.
We discussed updates on WSIB’s Mental Health Program of Care and Mental Stress Injury Program, as well as key topics for our Advocacy Day at Queen’s Park. Through open dialogue and a roundtable on bargaining and provincial matters, we reaffirmed that our strength comes from our association's dedication and leadership.
By working together, we amplify our members' concerns and aspirations and continue to advance the priorities that matter most to our policing community across Ontario.

We will never forget Constable Douglas Tribbling who died on Aug 21, 1984. He was 49 years old with only 2 years until retirement and the first @YRP officer to be killed in the line of duty. He began his career with Markham Township Police in 1956. Our #HeroesInLife.

Today, we remember Constable Lewis R. Durant of Markham Township Police, who was just 22 years old when he was struck and killed in the line of duty on August 18, 1956, while investigating a suspicious vehicle.
