Videos show a fire at the facility. The Rosneft-operated refinery has a designed crude-processing capacity of around 7 million tonnes per year and produces gasoline, diesel and other petroleum products. Regional Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev confirmed a large-scale drone attack on the region, saying that industrial facilities were targeted and dozens of drones were intercepted. He reported damage to homes and cars but did not specifically confirm damage to the refinery. The Kuibyshev refinery has been targeted repeatedly. On June 10, 2026, it halted crude processing following another drone attack, according to Reuters.
