This is a misleading answer because it does not disclose that fees were paid to private sector lawyers, or the cost of those fees. $4 million in our money is a lot. But the truth is the Trudeau/Carney government has spent a lot more on this case.
JUST IN
The Liberal government's legal fees for its Emergencies Act litigation are now up to $3.99 million... and this is before Supreme Court hearing.
All because they won't just admit that they violated the constitutional rights of Canadians (which two courts have affirmed).
