OKX CEO Star Xu (@star_okx) publicly challenged Binance founder CZ's iconic origin story of selling his home to buy Bitcoin, claiming the narrative omits critical family involvement and that the property belonged to CZ's in-laws. Xu also accused CZ of falsehoods in his recently published book and challenged him to produce a signed divorce agreement.
@cz_binance fired back directly, confirming he is "officially divorced" and offering to bet $1 billion with lawyers verifying the documents. He gave Xu a 24-hour window to accept the bet, saying failure to respond "clearly shows who has been misrepresenting to the public." CZ declined to post legal documents publicly out of respect for his ex-wife's privacy.
