BREAKING: SpaceXAI has released a major new update for Grok Build (v1.0.13). The update improves reliability with automatic retries and recovery from truncated responses, inference failures, oversized images and session-saving issues. It also adds smarter hooks, better Windows support, faster MCP and session startup, improved scheduled tasks and quicker compressed CLI downloads. Features • Length-truncated responses now continue automatically instead of failing the turn. • Hooks can now ask the user to confirm a tool call instead of always allowing or denying. • Hooks can now request deferral or add context shown to the model after a tool runs. • Session close now records detailed timing data for performance analysis. • Credit limit upsell now offers a Try Again button to retry the last prompt. • Pasted images now show a live pixel preview in the prompt box on iTerm2. Bug Fixes • Transient inference failures (stalls, drops, 5xx) now retry automatically instead of ending the turn. • Windows users can now correctly open ~/.grok and worktree sessions. • Session data is now more reliably saved after prompts and on power loss. • Compaction failures now show the actual error instead of a generic message. • Truncation error messages now show the right guidance instead of suggesting an unhelpful retry. • Truncated tool calls are now executed instead of failing the turn when arguments are complete. • Images larger than 2000px no longer brick sessions on many-image requests. • Wrapped hyperlinks in the pager now remain fully clickable on Windows Terminal instead of only the first line. • Recurring scheduled tasks now include a reminder to stop the monitor when work finishes. • Scheduled task IDs are now full UUID strings, preventing collisions when tasks are created in the same millisecond. Performance • Subagent spawning is faster when connections drop during bursts. • Session startup with MCP servers is now much faster when auth is already configured. • MCP server startup no longer stalls behind a fixed batch size. • CLI downloads are now compressed, making fresh installs and updates substantially faster. Chief Judge Shea (CT-D) just made effective 911 response impossible in the courthouses in his District while not changing anything else (this order is status quo ante). I support the Chief Judges' right to regulate the operations of their courts, including weapons, but this order was not well thought out. 📷ctd.uscourts.gov/sites/defau…

Last year @DonutOperator blamed cedar tree-cum for his allergy attacks in the Spring. It was oak that time, and it’s coming for you again, Donut. Beware!

This was written ten years ago by a friend with two then 5th grade girls. If everyone had read it and taken it to heart, the last decade would have been so much better. Especially for girls. orlandomom.com/like-a-girl/?

Not sure why @smerconish is buying the bad info on the severances. His experts know he truth but are holding back. These are a voluntary severance under a regulation to be set out under 5 USC § 5595(b). These funds have been appropriated as long as the payments end on it before 9/30/2025.

Making Spiced Fall Cookies for Thanksgiving this year with some of my own modifications. Hat tip to @AdrianneCurry for sharing the recipe: 1drv.ms/w/s!AloVQvKvQ9aXgpBX… The spices are all freshly ground and the ingredients all organic. Hardest thing to get is the blanching water from Tepin Chile peppers. But it's also very rewarding.

An unexpectedly nuanced view from Stanley Kubrick’s daughter on the use of Full Metal Jacket footage by Trump.
TO THOSE WHO THINK MY FATHER WOULDN’T HAVE WANTED #TRUMP TO USE FMJ FOOTAGE Here are my thoughts: I agree in principle that an anti-war movie is incongruous with promoting the idea of a tough non-woke US military and thus war itself - however - these are very dangerous and strange times and thus using this footage is doubtless pure expedience. Because I’m sure the irony of using FMJ footage is not lost on Trump or his team - Trump is always seeking to end wars and use peaceful methods. However, that’s primarily what FMJ is about, the shocking and complicated paradoxes of human nature. And thus, on this tooth and claw planet, you need a very strong military - so I’m going to stick with the idea that FMJ footage was used primarily because of its powerful, realistic portrayal of boot camp, juxtaposed with the entirely demoralizing and inappropriate injection of WOKE ideology into the USA military. Which I agree with myself and which I’m certain my father would have agreed with. Truthfully, I believe my father (who supported Reagan), would very much approve of saving America, indeed the world, from the highly destructive Globalist forces threatening to take over this planet. And if that footage from FMJ helps Trump make the point that the US military needs properly trained, super tough, focused, dedicated warriors, and not introduce the demoralizing effects of woke-ism, and attracting people to join up simply to have their sexual reassignments paid for, then Trump has my blessing. Finally, knowing my father very well, I can assure you he had a profound grasp of how paradoxical human nature is! Which accounts for how at the same time he made anti-war films, he had a great passion for guns (self-defense not hunting) and he had quite a few! My father had a great respect for life - his movies being unimpeachable evidence of his love for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness! So on that basis, I feel very confident he would be a Trump supporter and would forgive using FMJ incongruously, if it helps the cause of freedom! Got to love @checkpeople -- all my info shows up on a search, but not if I go through the process to delete my info. Instead of taking a URL -- they put you through a search that excludes matching records. Scam.

I’m still a bit salty that @KamalaHarris used one of my photos without attribution. At least @realDonaldTrump never did that.
Just found out the VP used one of my shots of Loretta lynch. Original here: flic.kr/p/pYgEsM

Asked Grok for a Siskel and Ebert review of “The ABC Murders” starring Malkovich. Did it better than ChatGPT… Title: The ABC Murders: A Tale of Two Critics In this review, Siskel and Ebert offer their perspectives on the 2018 adaptation of Agatha Christie's classic novel, "The ABC Murders," starring John Malkovich as the iconic detective Hercule Poirot. Siskel: I found the adaptation to be a refreshing take on the classic Christie tale, with Malkovich's portrayal of Poirot bringing a unique blend of melancholy and determination to the role. The story itself is a thrilling ride with twists and turns that keep you engaged throughout. The supporting cast also delivers strong performances, making this a must-watch for fans of Agatha Christie's work and mystery lovers alike. Ebert: While I appreciate the attempt to bring a new perspective to the character of Poirot, I found Malkovich's performance to be pretentious and lacking the charm and wit that other actors have brought to the role. The story itself is a classic, but the adaptation felt somewhat lackluster, failing to capture the suspense and intrigue that made the original novel so captivating. In conclusion, Siskel and Ebert's opinions diverge on this adaptation of "The ABC Murders." Siskel enjoyed the fresh take on the classic tale, while Ebert found it to be pretentious and lacking in certain aspects. Ultimately, the viewer's enjoyment of the film may depend on their own personal tastes and expectations.

What we are just now finding out is terrifying. The corporate media, colluding with government bureaucrats and partisans crafted mechanisms to stifle politically disfavored speech and the reach of competitors in the industry. Government funded censorship and electoral manipulation as never seen before. J6 was a small chaotic bubble compared to this. Horrifying.
The leaders of the Censorship Industrial Complex insist they didn't break the law, but they did. They worked on behalf of the government, demanded mass censorship, and interfered in an election. In this video, I explain how they almost got away with it.
